[Approved] INA DAO April/May Budget

Title: INA DAO - FUNDING PROPOSAL FOR April and May 2023

  1. BACKGROUND INFORMATION
  • DAO introduction

Here is the original introduction posted on the forum Dec 2021:

INA comes from Esperanto and resembles the feminine/female.

We want to create a DAO that specifically supports persons who identify as female, their goals and creative projects, regardless of origin, skin colour or location. The goal is to provide help for female artists and projects, through onboarding, funding and connecting with other like minded womxn.

In order to reach gender equality female artists deserve more visibility in many areas. INA DAO wants to be a platform that showcases successful womxn of the NEAR ecosystem and beyond. Because a good role model makes you achieve your goals faster.

The projects we want to support should have a focus on artists who identify as female, on gender equality, education for women and inclusion.

For the set up the council would consist of: @JulianaM : Visual Artist and cofounder of Incubadora DAO & part of the Creatives DAO Council, based in Lisbon @Mette : creative cultural producer based in Lisbon, part of Arroz Studios and Arroz Criativo DAO @tabear : cofounder of muti DAO & part of the Creatives DAO Council, cultural producer, based in Leiria

We would love to expand the council to create a vibrant and global environment within the DAO.

Values for projects to be funded:

  • Cross disciplinary (artistic & entrepreneurial)
  • Innovative
  • Female lead
  • Open to the communitary growth
  • Intersectional inclusivity

Next steps: We want to start slow but steady. The first steps are to set up a DAO on Astro, create a bounty for a visual identity as well as setting up the social media channels. We would love to organise an event in collaboration with more DAOs that are locally active in Lisbon to create an event which showcases women in crypto and connect female creatives.

Long term goals: In the long run we want to organise events/talks & workshops, in the Metaverse and in the physical world, which provide education about crypto and its infinite possibilities. How to become self-sustainable and accomplish projects.

For now this is the rough structure that we have been thinking of. We are more than happy about feedback and for womxn who would like to join

  • Why team is best for the funds

@GeminiRising - artist, on council since January 2022, active in the Web3 space since 2019, also created another DAO called LP DAO in this ecospace

@klarakopi - artist, active on the Web3 space since 2020, council member since April 2022, previously on the Metaverse DAO

@beluespina - artist, council member since May 2022

We all work together very well, and since we are creatives we have come up with many innovative ways to engage and grow our community

Advisors: @chloe @tabea

  • We use quite a few platforms built on NEAR - Astro, Mintbase, Paras, Gorilla Shop, NearHub, we also have a gallery in Voxels, a website, a Telegram group, a YouTube page, a Twitter account, a IG account and a NEAR Social account.

ART

  • Impact

On track to provide a space for women to create freely. Onboarded quite a few women from outside of the space, plus some of the women came over from other DAOs. We have collaborated with other DAOs to buy each other’s art, GeminiRising has had a few interviews outside of the space where she has promoted the NEAR ecosystem, we feel we are on track creating many events, educational videos and interactive community projects.

  • Roadmap & Milestones for this Proposal

Week 1 (April 1-7):

  • Create a bounty to find 3 female artists for the residency program.
  • Promote the bounty on social media and relevant forums.
  • Review and select the 3 artists by April 7th.
  • Notify the selected artists and pay them half of the funds.

Week 2-8 (April 8 - May 22):

  • Collaborate with the 3 artists on their work for the show.
  • Provide support and resources as needed.
  • Monitor progress and address any concerns or issues.
  • Promote the artists and their work on social media and other relevant platforms.
  • Receive the final artwork from the artists by May 22.
  • Make and post famous female artists videos for YouTube every Tuesday (April 11, 18, 25, May 9, 16, 23), promoting each one the week before with posters and SM.

Week 9-10 (May 23-31):

  • Prepare and set up the metaverse gallery for the opening and show.
  • Hire a DJ for the gallery opening party.
  • Create posters for the gallery show…
  • Promote the gallery show and opening party on social media and other relevant platforms.
  • Install the artwork in the gallery.

Week 11-12 (June 1-14):

  • Host the gallery show and opening party on June 1st.
  • Collect feedback from attendees and evaluate the success of the event.
  • Mint and sell the pieces made by the artists.

Metrics:

  • Evaluate the turnout for the gallery show and the number of pieces sold.
  • Measure the increase in the number of women joining your DAO and the NEAR ecosystem.
  • Track social media metrics and gallery attendees to evaluate the effectiveness of promotion efforts.

Risks:

  • Risk of not getting funding can be mitigated by identifying alternative sources of funding.
  • Risk of artists not submitting work on time can be mitigated by setting clear expectations and deadlines, providing support and resources, and maintaining open communication.
