To clarify, we only began our operations on 09/23 when our proposal was funded. Therefore, this report concludes the results of the month from 9/23 to 10/24. This period will be referred to as “month of October” further in the proposal for simplicity sake.
Overview
It was a great month for NEAR Chill&Shill. We significantly outperformed on all metrics, experimented with new formats, added resources and features to our NEAR Chill&Shill ecosystem, and created a great community that is striving to learn, while introducing more people to NEAR blockchain.

Calendly:
A calendly has been created for a project to book their AMAs on $NEAR Chill&Shill. It has been a great success, and as of right now we have 30 projects that have booked an AMA and are waiting for their turn, which means we are fully booked until mid-December (4 slots/week).
Group Chats:
Currently $NEAR Chill&Shill has 3 group chats that represent our community and serve as a platform to connect people. First twitter chat that mostly consists of projects, speakers, and NEAR OGs. Second twitter chat that mostly consists of our listeners and the community that formed during this month. There is also a telegram group, which was newly created to accommodate our growing community, as twitter group chats have a hard cap of 75 people and we reached it in both.
What we learned - the journey:
Running $NEAR Chill&Shill this month has been a great learning experience. First, we planned to run 4 spaces weekly, split 2 and 2 between AMAs and community spaces. However, after publishing our calendly, the demand was so high, that projects took all 4 spaces a week for months ahead, forcing us towards 4 AMAs a week. This was great and made our spaces more value-packed and educational, especially since the demand was so high. However, while doubling our educational side was nice, providing a platform for community to come together and connect is one of our core missions, thus we had to bring community spaces back.
We decided to keep all 4 weekly AMAs in place, while adding 2 community spaces a week on top of that, bringing our total to 6 spaces a week. It turned out to be THE BEST decision, and allowed us to get to know our newly formed community, get valuable feedback, and understand a lot of things.
Our first “community space” quickly turned into an educational space. Turned out that a lot of our listeners were not familiar with NEAR prior to joining our spaces. A lot of them joined our space once, and then kept coming back every time, therefore acquiring a lot of deeper knowledge about NEAR ecosystem, but we have never taught them the basics, such as how to get a readable wallet name, how to use NEAR defi, how to buy NEAR NFTs, what is wNEAR, how does liquid stacking work on NEAR, etc. A lot of them were using NEAR on Trust or similar multi-chain wallet with unreadable addresses, missing out on the full unique experience of using NEAR. This space gave us a clear understanding of the direction we should be heading and what our community needs from us in order to understand NEAR better, which will be reflected in our plans for next months.
As of right now, we keep hosting 2 additional community/educational spaces each week, that are not as strictly organized as AMA and allow more people to participate, ask questions, and have meaningful conversations.
Conclusion:
It has been a great month for $NEAR Chill&Chill. We exceeded all our plans and expectations, drastically improved the quality and quantity of our spaces, grew an amazing community, and learned so much along the way. We plan to keep operating in the same manner, constantly developing, growing, experimenting, and implementing new things. Despite the current absence of funding for the next month due to the pause in Marketing DAO, we will continue to operate according to our schedule and grow our community and ecosystem at our own expense. We hope that everything will be resolved soon so $NEAR Chill&Shill can keep onboarding new people to NEAR, cultivate community, help projects reach their audiences, and spread valuable knowledge by educating people around the world about NEAR blockchain and its ecosystem.
