On the 12th, we accepted two new people into our RU-Guild, these are our moderators. Alyona @Al-DYOR and Yuri @Bond , they are active users of our chat room, Octoberfest winners, as well as those who have been helping newcomers for a long period of time.
This date coincided with when I got sick COVID. But I had time to give instructions to the new guys and tried to guide them the following days. I think they did a great job. Those were the days of mass tokensale Aurora on different platforms(Boca Chica, Skyward). Newbies came in and the guys helped them navigate the NEAR world.
I am very excited to belong to this community and help new adepts of our wonderful blockchain. Glad to be a part Ru Guild Community. Thank you!
I’ve done a wonderful job as a community moderator for more than two weeks, and I’m happy to share this amazing experience.
What I did every day:
Greet/interact with Telegram members,
Provide support to our users with any questions they may have and redirect them to specific channels.
Fight scammers/spammers in our Telegram channel.

Main problems I encountered:
Bots attacking the main telegram group / scammers using the cover of NEARCrowd
Problems with Binance for NEAR network
Sometimes users can’t figure out how to create a wallet.
Sometimes users can’t figure out how to used ref.finance, Aurora EVM, trisolaris.io, NearPad, WannaSwap, BocaChica, Skyward, SmartPad, Youminter, MetaPool, Paras and other platforms or how to participate on this platforms etc.
During these two weeks, I helped newbies find answers to emergent questions about the applications in the NEAR ecosystem, directed them to the specific channels, and fought against bots and spammers.
I saw how scammers under the guise of the NEARCrowd project and its administration tried to defraud and defraud users funds. For our part, we actively counteract this, warned of possible fraud and blocked intruders.
Main problems I encountered:
bots attacking the main telegram group / scammers using the cover of NEARCrowd;
problems with deposit/withdraw NEAR on some exchanges in NEAR Protocol network;
difficulties with ending session in NEAR Wallet on other devices.

About the New Year quiz:
We had about 1,500 people come to our chat room. So far, there is no serious outflow.
We have also encountered some difficulties.
Nevertheless, the chat became more active, many people were interested.
Why did we not attract more people?
Perhaps not enough experience to organize such an event.
An advertising campaign (all the Influencers supported our event). But most likely we should have used new or other resources.
NEAR account and the required number of NEAR (0.1-0.05N) to participate could have been a bottleneck for the mass event.
We tried to solve the NEAR account problem with our bot, where you could get an account and work with quizzes.
Some of the questions may have turned out to be difficult.
Pros of the event: after taking the quiz, we published the correct answers, people learned and got to know our ecosystem better.
The participants were interested, despite all the nuances.
In our quizzes, we tried to touch on all aspects of NEAR’s evolution and its pluses, as well as the most frequent questions in the chat.

There was a webinar on the YouTube channel of Binance CIS, Vadim took part in it. We also encouraged attentive viewers with a special quest, it was necessary to enter a code phrase in our quiz and get a nice little prize.

We also plan and are already in the process of reorganizing the guild, to involve our guys in other activities.
What problems do we face?
Because of delays in funding, we are currently unable to pay on time to those who worked in January. We are also unable to pay our Influencers according to our agreement.
Also Vadim has added 50N to the DAO so that we could pay Binance for the organization of the promo campaign.
