She is Near, Council report

Report on Contributions to SHE IS NEAR DAO March-May

Introduction: As a member of the council within SHE IS NEAR DAO, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing significant growth and development within our community – we now have 388 members of the DAO. Collaborating closely with other web3 women’s organizations, we’ve fostered strong partnerships aimed at empowering women in the blockchain space. Amidst our achievements, a key takeaway has been the recognition that women on-chain continue to encounter obstacles on their journey, underscoring the critical need for sustained community support in nurturing their projects and initiatives.

Legal Governance and Compliance Oversight: Efforts were dedicated to ensuring the legal framework and compliance of She is Near DAO. As the primary liaison with legal experts in Switzerland, I spearheaded initiatives to establish a sound legal framework. Collaborating closely with colleagues, we identified the appropriate association and forged essential contractual agreements with MML Legal, our legal representatives in Zurich.

Strategic Development and Coordination of Cross-Platform Summit: Strategic planning and coordination were pivotal in orchestrating a successful cross-platform summit, slated for June 25th. Serving as the point of contact to pitch speakers, I am onboarding them with one-on-one content review, coaching, and support before the event. Additionally, my responsibilities included curating a list of speakers, fostering networking opportunities, and shaping the event’s content plan and schedule. Moreover, proactive involvement in marketing programs augmented our social media presence and strengthened collaborative outreach initiatives.

Mitigation of Challenges and Reputation Management: In navigating challenges such as smear campaigns and threats, efforts were directed towards safeguarding the reputation and integrity of She is Near DAO. Time and resources were invested in preparing reports, addressing community concerns, and crafting transparent public statements. This commitment extended beyond conventional work hours to uphold the DAO’s values and resilience.

Evaluation and Facilitation of Funding Proposals: Active engagement characterized the evaluation and facilitation of funding proposals submitted to the HoM. A review process, encompassing 11 proposals, involved providing constructive feedback, supporting fellow applicants, and facilitating discussions through various communication channels.

Engagement in DAO Activities and Project Evaluation: A consistent and proactive approach underpinned active participation in DAO community meetings and governance sessions. Collaborative efforts with counsel facilitated the execution of weekly meetings, identification of promising AI projects for funding consideration, and provision of support to target projects in refining their pitches for valuation.

Thank you for your support of She is Near.
