Dear Neariens,
Since March, significant developments have occurred within the Near ecosystem, and I have been actively engaged in ensuring the sustainability and evaluation of She is Near. Below, I outline the key areas where She is Near has been focusing its efforts, along with my personal contributions:
April Funding and Cross-Platform/Virtual Summit: Our DAO received funding in April after the 20th. I played a pivotal role in structuring the upcoming cross-platform/virtual summit. This involved tasks such as defining roles, creating budget breakdowns, attending meetings, and addressing queries from DAO members.
Mitigating Smear Campaigns and Threats: She is Near DAO faced a smear campaign and threats. To safeguard the DAO’s reputation, I invested considerable time in preparing reports, answering community questions, managing budget reports, and crafting public statements. These efforts extended into my personal time, including holidays and late nights.
Funding Proposals to HoM: We submitted two funding proposals to the HoM. My active involvement included evaluating a total of 11 proposals (6+5), providing feedback, guiding other funding applicants, and re-evaluating proposals through meetings and direct messages.
Legal Governance and Expert Advice: I prioritized structuring She is Near DAO’s legal governance. Seeking advice from experts and consulting with lawyers, I contributed to ensuring a robust legal framework.
Active Participation in DAO Activities: I consistently attended DAO community meetings and governance sessions. Additionally, I engaged in meetings with various stakeholders to explore sustainable pathways for She is Near. Transparently addressing community concerns related to NDC’s sunsetting, I actively participated in voting on payment proposals as well.
Despite the challenges, my commitment to promoting gender equity and sustaining the DAO remains unwavering.
