Saray is a creative from Galicia who has been living in Lisbon for 4 years. She is always inspired by the palpable creativity of the city and her satiating desire to unleash her own.
Her main creative output comes in the form of analog photography, but also includes djing, painting, cooking, and wherever else the creative muse may fall on that day. Her work is influenced by the rawness and romance of everyday things.
For this month long residency, I am proposing a series called ‘’Drogarias’’, which will be inspired by the Portuguese Drugstores. Old local shops that are full of necessities and random bits n’ bobs. Lisbon is a city hooked on centralisation, and with this series I hope to shed light on the old local shops that are disappearing, to contribute in part to continuing their stories.
