Summary:
As we finally see the shade at the end of a long Lisbon summer, we’re ramping up projects this month with an unintentional, but not unwelcome, focus on analogue photography. The proposals in September include artists from more than five countries with activities across Portugal, Spain, and Finland. In addition to individual projects, we are lucky enough to be involved in two different multi-DAO initiatives in the coming weeks, including the exposition of artistic NFTs as well as an IRL educational event to coincide with NEARCON.

$640 Album Ideation Residency (NFT series)
This is a short-term residency for two artists who have been working with the NEAR ecosystem for some time: Martin (Bom Beijo) and Mariana (Meta). It is specifically for the development of the upcoming album “XIV- A íntegração”, and its web3 preview through a connected NFT series.

$310 Paulo Edson EP – Update
Some of the necessary elements for Paulo Edson’s EP weren’t successfully recorded within the time allocated in the previous proposal, including vocals and percussion. As such, further studio time has been requested to finalize this EP for release. The 5 artworks for this album, created by Tilly (tillyartist.near), have already been created and minted in the Garden Collective Mintbase as part of our “Sowing seeds” residency.

$300 DAOHAUS - DAO Collaboration Event @ NEARcon
DAOHAUS is a multi-DAO collaborative creative mixer and educational event organised by DAOs on NEAR. DAOHAUS creates a space for various NEAR ecosystem contributors and newcomers to enjoy games, education, art, and music related to Decentralised Autonomous Organisations. Garden Collective is one of several DOAS contributing to this collaborative event. The $300 requested will go specifically towards artist fees for local acts that Garden are booking for the event.

$388.50 Analog Photo NFT Series - OuluJournal
Visual artist Eddie Ivers will be travelling to Finland in October to visit an art residency based in the town of Ii. While in Finland, he plans to set aside two days to photograph the city of Oulu from an outsider’s perspective, with the aim of creating a black and white analog photo series, turned into an online gallery exhibition of NFTs via the Garden Collective mintbase store. The overall trip will be self-funded, this proposal is for the photography project only.

Expected metrics:
- Up to seven photo NFTs from the Sowing Seeds residency
- 15 - 20 NFTs purchased from other DAOs
- Three to five Audio-visual NFTs from the Album Ideation Residency
- Four individual tracks compiled into an EP for release
- Introduction and onboarding via the collaborative DAOHAUS event
- 10 to 20 photo NFTs combined into a 3XR gallery space from the Analog Photo Series
