Concept
Create a physical art gallery and NFT sale of film posters created by the NEAR community at Black Cat’s shows.
We have now run three (1, 2, 3) film poster artwork competitions, here on the forum. It’s been a real success, with around 50 different artists getting involved with their interpretations of what a film poster can be.
It’s been a neat bridge between our audience’s core interest of films, and our relationship with the NEAR community. It is one of the ways that we are introducing our community to NEAR naturally, and an organic part of our content.
The three winning entries from each round (third round closed today, so winners will be announced within five days) are minted into NFTs which are on sale in our mintbase store. And, thanks to the support of the community, we have been able to pay out bounties for all the (very deserving) winners.
What’s involved
The nine winning entries will be printed out in A1 poster quality and displayed at the cinema event. Each poster will be accompanied by information about the film, artist, and where people can purchase their NFT representations on the Mintbase store. Seven of the nine will be in the Black Cat Cinema mintbase store, and two have been donated to the the Muti mintbase store.
Timeline
The winners from the final round will be announced by 20th August. To be displayed at The Grand Budapest Hotel show at Arroz Estúdios on 30th August.
Budget:
9 x 20 USD for printing: 180 USD.
