We are now on the third round our film poster artwork competition! The first and second rounds have been very popular, and the second round closed yesterday with the winners to be announced this weekend.
The second round of the competition has seen even more entries than the first. And is proving to be a great way to bring people from all over the NEAR community together.
By the end of this round we will have a total of 9 winning entries (1st, 2nd, & 3rd) and will organise an exhibition to be displayed at our events. They will displayed with QR codes to their NFT counterparts and an explanation of how to purchase with NEAR. A separate funding request will be made for this exhibition, because costs are not yet known.
The competition will be to create original alternative posters for classic films. It will be a great way to engage local artists with film, and fuse the two genres. Seeing the work of the Polish Poster School has been very inspiring, and there is definitely a lot that can be done with the format! www.polishposter.com. They have some amazing work on their site, and it’s well worth checking out.
The three winning entries will be posted on the Black Cat website and social media, and be minted into NFTs to go in the new Black Cat Mintbase store.
