Following new guidelines from NDC House of Merit MDAO focused on updated KPIs for October MDAO September KPIs.

Near Digital Collective Core Values:

1. Empowering the ecosystem (for people by people)
2. Respected by the ecosystem (fair, accountable, transparent, and reliable)
3. Dedicated to ideas of decentralization (antifragile, scalable, with collective decision-making)
4. Efficient operation (don’t be a burden; instead, help the Community to be more efficient)
5. Continuous improvement via weekly iterations (plan, measure results, and adjust continuously)

To evaluate the results, please use the following metrics that will be used for tracking individual initiatives’ performance by Marketing (Eco) DAO. All the metrics must be attributable to the relevant project/initiative through on-chain activity and off-chain reporting, ensuring GDPR compliance and preserving privacy:

1. Accounts retention after 1/2/4/8 weeks — the percentage of accounts who continue interacting on the chain over a given time period (higher is better)
2. Account acquisition cost — budget divided by the number of accounts interacting through the funded initiative (lower is better)
3. Median number of dApps used by P95 accounts retained for 1+ week (higher is better)
4. Number of accounts retained for 1+ week using at least three dApps (higher is better)
5. Social engagement score — some compound metric of the number of posts, likes, and followers/views in social media produced by the users.

Let’s take this example: Why should Marketing (Eco) DAO fund Project X?

1. Project X should have a clear goal and target audience
2. Project X should bring improvements to several metrics listed above

As a reminder, here is the current MDAO schedule for monthly review and funding of proposals.

Marketing (Eco) DAO October’s funding procedure:

1. October 21 - 25th time for proposals from the Community, updates accordingly to NDC Metrics;
2. October 26 reviewing by MDAO councils, approval on governance forum, and creation post-request to NDC (HOM, CoA, NDC trust);
3. October 27-31st reviewing by HOM members;
4. October 31 – Voting by HOM on chain;
5. November 1, in case of successful approval by HOM, HOM will pass the request to CoA to vote on-chain;
6. November 2nd-6th – reviewing and voting by CoA;
7. Once the CoA gives its approval, the Trustees will carry out the transaction, provided that the expenses align with the Trust’s objectives;
8. KYC can be required for new applicants.

Disclaimer: some timelines can be changed due to the transition V0-V1 period. The NDC team works hard to establish new procedures and make the funding process clear and comfortable.

What i did as an advisor in MDAO during the month of October.

I’m gathering September reports and reaching out to our grantees to ask where their challenges are and how we can help them further, especially those related to regional communities and growth, and compiling it before NDC releases an ecosystem support for October so we can start reviewing proposals.

October submissions began on a very tight schedule, spending more than 5-6 hours every day reviewing proposals and evaluating previous reports and performance, and give my thoughts until final approval day from councils.

I also helped handle our sheets for the month of October.

Worked along side my orher advisor to developed a contents calendar and package to our grantees.

Reaching out to ecosystem projects and have a call to see how MDAO will suppprt them and what are their challenges, why their projects is not active., direct others to Horizon and others to submit a proposal in the upcoming month Lots of internal activities

Attending calls with NF marketing and Nearcon organizers, primarily about how to support side events and regional community participation every week.

Marketing DAO Monthly Report by Dacha

• During October, our primary focus was on the seamless transition to new structures post the NDC elections. The Marketing DAO proactively shaped these structures to align with the evolving needs of the NEAR ecosystem.

• In line with my ongoing responsibilities, I dedicated substantial time to the review, evaluation, and assessment of over 30 proposals from the NEAR community. This involved a comprehensive analysis of past performance, providing comments, asking questions, and collaborative discussions within the Marketing DAO councils.

• Regular meetings, held every Tuesday with additional calls scheduled as necessary, facilitated effective communication within the team.

• Active participation continued in the review of community proposals submitted on the forum, following our established review process. Additionally, I played a crucial role in crafting the budget proposed for the October funding request and engaged in follow-up communications with NDC homes such as HoM, CoA, and NDC Trust.

• Maintaining regular correspondence with the Marketing DAO council, advisors, trustees, NDC & NF liaisons, and other ecosystem stakeholders ensured a proactive response to current inquiries and alignment with priorities.

• October marked a month of substantial change as we actively worked to align with and support the new NDC governance structure. Our collective efforts are directed towards the goal of building a stronger and more inclusive NEAR community and ecosystem for the benefit of all stakeholders.
