Greetings, Near Community.
It’s with pleasure NEAR UNIVERSITY HUB, led by @simon4real and co. acknowledge your support for our hub purposed to run an onboarding and promotion program accross Nigerian Universities, while incorporating social events such as sports, contests etc to further increase brand awareness of Near protocol accros Nigeria .
The world is slowly, but increasingly adopting blockchain and it’s various usecase to support the demand of increasing technological advancements.
This align with the current transition of developers, designers, enterpreneurs from web2, to web3. Universities house significant distribution of those talents and creatives.
Near University Hub realized the potentials of onboarding as much universities Hubs of web2 talents to the web3 space, specifically under near ecosystem to crowd build the ownership economy model of web3 , by further connecting web2 talents to web3 space , exposing them with the various opportunities to leverage under Near blockchain.
While we count a slow but transient growth in Community size with increase active participation in the community, we anticipate a radical growth in size and activities when we go on full operation.
Our mission still remains onboard various web 2 talents into the web3 space to build, deploy and scale on near blockchain, and to learn, explore and leverage the various opportunity in web3 under near, facilitating creativity and Innovation while spreading the voice of near and facilitating good brand image concurrently accross universities in Nigeria.
We always feel supported by the community members, aniticpating further participation, while we make Community led activities drive us to ensure a spirit of inclusiveness, to join hand and build a future of web3 together Wich is NEAR AND BRIGHT.

ONBOARDING
Currently, we are onboarding Community members from akwa ibom state university.
After the opening of the remaining universities, we will start a full operation accros NIGERIA universities
Plan for first even
We plan to hold a contest after reaching a certain milestone.
Setbacks
the lingering issues of strike action accros the Universities is still a hindrance to our full operation, while we continue to focus on growing our community with available universities not opted in the action, there will be a massive reach out and significant talent hunt after opening of the universities.
We welcome all newly joined members and those to join in anticipation. We are glad counting more members coming onboard, let’s be active,let’s grow together while we connect and build the greater NEAR future.
