[Report] NEKO Morning Show November Funding

Report NEKO MorningShow (November)

Introduction:
The NEKO Morning Show has been successfully running since its inception on TikTok. We have grown significantly and are now streaming across 7 different platforms. And 6 Platforms for TLDR And shorts.
This report presents a summary of the funding we received for the month of November, with the show airing twice a week Tuesday And Thursday 8AM UTC.

Objective:

The primary goal of the NEKO Morning Show is to onboard new users to the NEAR Protocol and educate both new and existing users about NEAR and dApps. This is achieved through a live show streamed on multiple platforms simultaneously, ensuring a global reach to both web2 and web3 audiences worldwide.

The show’s interactive format, with face-to-face interactions and live video feedback, has built trust between the hosts and our audience, resulting in a more engaging and enjoyable experience compared to a standard Twitter space.

Furthermore, our outreach efforts have paid off, and we are proud to be recognized as one of the top podcast shows within the NEAR Protocol community.

In November, our focus was on aligning the show’s objectives with (KPIs) provided by the HOM & COA

  • Educating about NDC Throughout the show we focused on providing comprehensive information and explanations of the various roles within the organization.

  • Educating about NEAR BOS offering comprehensive information and real-time live demonstrations.

  • Hosting notable names and Projects from the NEAR Ecosystem.

  • Staking rewards for NEKO Tokens, along with rewards for various tokens from Dapps on the NEAR Protocol, were offered as part of interactive tasks and engagements. These incentives were created to motivate users to engage with Dapps within the NEAR ecosystem and empower content creators, all within the framework of our NEKOMorningShow interactive tasks.

  • ShardDog claims.

  • Bounty claims utilizing HEROES Build site.

  • NFT collection sweep for Staking rewards.

  • up-to-date with all the news on NEAR, including new project launches, existing projects, and community dApps and Ongoing and upcoming events.

  • Comprehensive explanations about dApps and staking within the NEAR ecosystem, with a special focus on projects like Metapool, Octopus Network, and Jumpdefi, along with their staking features. To facilitate hands-on experience, we distributed some of the platform’s tokens, enabling users to stake them and discover the seamless, fast, and easy staking process on the NEAR blockchain.

  • Conducting live demonstrations with screen sharing to illustrate how to interact with these dApps and others within the NEAR ecosystem.
These efforts proved highly beneficial for both new and existing users, providing them with insights into various dApps within the NEAR ecosystem and teaching them how to stake tokens and earn yields.

Results and Impact:

The most impressive thing about the Neko Morning Show is the KPI’s which are listed in the following section. Our numbers absolutely blow any competitor out of the water. So as to not bore you, we won’t start with them BUT we strongly urge that you take a look at them before evaluation.

Throughout the NEKOMorningShow Season 3, our main focus centered on educating viewers about the Blockchain Operating System (BOS) and the NDC, shed more light on other dApps as well as increase actual transactions on the dApps, and NEAR Ecosystem and help onboard more users to NEAR Protocol.

We witnessed a notable surge in both active users and transaction volumes, alongside significant improvements in on-chain onboarding, on-chain engagement, and on-chain participation within ecosystem dApps.

Our commitment to educating viewers and the community about the Near Protocol, update, news NDC & BOS played a pivotal role in achieving these results. Furthermore, we had the privilege of hosting esteemed people from the NEAR ecosystem, such as Chloethedev & AVB

How did we determine this achievement and impact?

The NEKO Morning Show offers wide range of benefits that helped us achieve our results & impacts Such as:

  • Screen sharing and live demonstrations of the dApps and websites we discussed, we were able to offer real-time tutorials to new users on how to interact with these applications, access the websites, and also understand the voting process.

  • QR codes and links were provided for all the sites and dApps featured in each episode of the show, allowing both live viewers and past viewers to access these dApps quickly, safely, and with ease

  • Consistently updated tickers and captions for each episode of the show serve as effective reminders for viewers regarding important news, the BOS, and the NDC election dates. This consistent highlighting during each episode of the show helps both new and existing viewers stay updated on the latest developments within the NEAR Ecosystem, enabling them to catch up quickly.

  • TLDR Videos / Audio on Spotify, Spotify podcast, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter.

  • TLDR Thread On NEAR Socials & Twitter.

  • Infographic and Tweets highlighting the show and guests.

  • Multi Stream platform (TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, Twitch, Kick, FB)

  • Full podcast record available on Twitter, YouTube for anyone who missed the live season and want to watch the full podcast.

Interactive tasks and events:

The Interactive tasks are designed to engage viewers with the show and empower content creators within the Near ecosystem and help onboard new ones.

They also assist new users in the Near ecosystem to become more involved, encouraging participation in various activities and earning rewards simultaneously. The goal is to create a fun, engaging, and learning experience for everyone in the Near ecosystem or new users.

Tasks can include:

  • Creating memes
  • These memes were then shared on Twitter with relevant hashtags and tags to showcase dApps, NDC, Near BOS, as well as the guest and projects.
  • Interacting with decentralized applications (DApps)
  • Participants can interact with the dApps covered during the show and follow along with our demonstrations. For example, in Staking or Namesky, where we conducted a contest for creating an account with a domain and listing it on the Namesky site.
  • Infographic:
  • Shared on Twitter with relevant hashtags and tags, it includes information about the launch of projects/news within the NEAR Ecosystem.
  • Short tweets contest showcasing NEAR Projects, NDC, BOS, NEKO & other Dapps within NEAR Protocol.

  • Summarizing videos into TLDR content Video Editing & Thread writing.

  • Viewers can claim a bounty by creating concise videos or writing a thread summarizing everything covered during that morning show episode.

The interactive task model aligns with the ‘learn to earn’ concept, allowing people to work closely with Soos and Nono to sharpen their skills.

Viewers then can claim Tokens, like $NEKO & $JUMP TOKENS where they can stake them for staking rewards.

Participants will also qualify for an extra reward in the form of NFTs.

We sweep an NFT collection during each season finale.

These NFTs are given away to recognize and appreciate the efforts of active users throughout the season. This initiative aims to facilitate the onboarding of new users to the NFT Project, shed more light to collection and contribute value to the NFT project, community, and the overall ecosystem.

We are dedicated to exploring optimal strategies for transitioning our audience from passive observers to active participants within the NEAR Ecosystem. Our focus lies in fostering the growth of the NEAR Ecosystem by effectively onboarding new users and enhancing the skills and knowledge of existing members.

We have already transitioned 90% of our Interactive tasks to an On-Chain approach utilizing the HEROES Build platform

So far, we have created over 22 bounties on NEKOMorningShow S4 with rewards totaling 8,000,000 $NEKO and $400 in $JUMP, distributed through the HEROES Build Site.

This transition not only aligns us with the (KPIs) provided by the (HOM) and (COA) but also enhances our overall operational efficiency.

(412 views per show) and a total of (1,825 Unique viewers) with an average of (367 Unique viewers per show) on TikTok Only for the NEKOMorningShow held during the month of November.

  • Let us explain why there is no data for three episodes:

One of the reasons why NEKOMorningShow has grown and achieved success is that Nono and I were never afraid to try new things and see what works for us. We consistently strive to elevate our show and content by experimenting with new features.

  • TikTok has released something called TikTok Studio (Trial). In order to make the TikTok Studio Trial permanent, we needed to conduct multiple streams over several weeks. We typically use the standard TikTok streaming method
(via phones). However, it appears that TikTok Studio operates with different algorithms, or it is not yet well-optimized. As a result, it doesn’t reach the audience in the same way as streaming from phones does. It’s important to note that TikTok Studio is still in beta.
  • While we initially considered incorporating the screen share demonstration feature into TikTok, until it’s in full release with an optimized algorithm system, we won’t be using it. Instead, we will revert to the standard way of live streaming on TikTok, which has proven to work very well for us.

Twitch:

Twitch is gradually improving, although it still lags behind other platforms. This month, we successfully increased our average viewers to 2.3 per stream with 22 unique viewers and 9 unique chatters and 106 Followers.

We recognize the potential of Twitch as a key platform for our outreach efforts, aligning with our objective of reaching a global audience. While Twitch is traditionally associated with gaming and in-real-life streams, it also presents a promising avenue for promoting web3 games on the NEAR Protocol, both now and in the future. We are actively preparing for this.

Kick:

Kick remains our least established platform and is currently our lowest priority in terms of engagement and views. Nevertheless, it serves a similar purpose to Twitch and holds the potential to reach a wider gaming audience once gaming activities start growing on NEAR. We recognize the opportunities that Kick presents and are dedicated to unlocking its full potential. At present, we have 31 followers on Kick.

FaceBook:

Facebook is one of our newly added streaming platforms. This aligns with our ongoing mission to reach as many social media platforms as possible to promote Web3 and the NEAR Protocol specifically.

Below is the growth of our FaceBook channel for the month of November, Based on the data Provided from the NEKO FaceBook channel:

  • 156 Post-reach(organic)

  • 297 Post-Engagement.

Spotify:

Spotify serves as a TLDR version of the NEKOMorningShow. Each episode is carefully cut and edited to feature only the most useful information and news that NEKOMorningShow has to offer. It’s an excellent option for people who don’t have the time to watch the 1.5 to 2-hour pre-recorded podcast or couldn’t attend the live podcast.

Spotify also provides voice-only podcasts, making it a great choice for individuals who are busy, traveling, or working out. They can simply plug in their earphones and stay updated with all the latest news on Web3 and the NEAR Protocol.

The TLDR format consists of videos or voice clips taken directly from the podcast. Each episode includes a range of 5-7 of these clips, each ranging from 1 to 4 minutes in length.

Not only does it provide great TLDR videos/audios, but we can also utilize Spotify and Spotify Podcasts to gather audience opinions. Through the Q&A section, we would be able to understand what the audience is more interested in, their thoughts, and experiences within a variety of Dapps/News topics we cover for each TLDR short.

Below is the growth of our Spotify and Spotify podcast channel for the month of November, Based on the data Provided from the NEKO Spotify channel:

  • 58 TLDR Audio/Video edited and posted on the NEKOMorningShow Spotify for S4 only. (11 TLDR Videos/Audio from Ep8 will be Uploaded by the time this report is done.
  • 121 All time play.
  • 4,621 impressions.

NEAR Socials:
We are thrilled to announce our expansion to NEAR Socials for Season 4. We have carefully considered how to create compelling content on NEAR Socials for our NEKOMorningShow and how to introduce viewers to NEAR Socials and BOS, encouraging their interaction.

NEAR Socials offers an additional TLDR option for the NEKOMorningShow, where people can read a thread summarizing what they missed from the live podcast. This provides a great way to reach an even larger audience through our show and promote BOS and NEAR Socials, transitioning viewers into active users.

The incorporation of NEAR Socials was experimental, aiming to bring something new, original, and valuable. Not only does this align with our Interactive Tasks for participants, but it also fits well with our goal to reach a wider audience across all platforms, whether new or existing users.

Finally, NEAR Social will act as the homebase where we want to funnel all of our followers. Not only is it a social graph with so much potential, but it’s also the native graph of the ecosystem.

Please take notes:

  • Twitch and Kick are currently our weakest-performing platforms. While these two platforms are primarily used for gaming and in-real-life streams, it doesn’t mean they won’t serve their purpose. We are committed to expanding our reach globally and being prepared for audiences around the world. As the gaming ecosystem grows on NEAR, Twitch and Kick will become our main channels for onboarding more users into web3 gaming built on NEAR.

  • We only consider three out of our seven platforms, specifically Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube, when calculating our KPIs for the NEKOMorningShow views.

The view count for the NEKOMorningShow consistently originates from these same platforms for every proposal and report.

  • For the average views, we calculated it as follows: (Total TikTok views / Total episodes 5). Then, we calculated (Total views from YouTube and Twitter / Total episodes 8). Finally, we added the average views from TikTok to the average views from YouTube and Twitch live podcasts to get the overall average views.

  • For the Total views we Divide everything by 8 and counted the 3
(No Data/Experimenting with a new feature) from TikTok as 0 views…

  • For impressions, we calculate them from Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, and Spotify, while excluding Twitch and Kick.

  • Impressions are derived solely from the Morning Show podcast link. We engaged our viewers through interactive tasks, leading them to create tweets, NDC, NEAR Protocol-related topics, memes, and more. We utilized hashtags like #NEKOMorningShow #NEARISNOW #NEARISBOS NEAR Digital Collective, resulting in numerous engaging tweets and impressions.

Conclusion:

  • Our NEKO Twitter account has experienced significant growth, exceeding 100%, making it the primary and fastest-growing account in the month of October, as

indicated by the statistics.

  • The NEKOMorningShow has proven to be highly effective and essential for NEAR news and seamless onboarding. Our innovative approach to hosting the podcast has been remarkably successful, as evidenced by the KPIs we have achieved thus far.

  • Running the show on multiple platforms Twitch, kick, Twitter YouTube,Tiktok, FaceBook TLDR Videos / Voice for spotify and spotify podcast and TLDR Threads on NEAR Socials and TWitter, NEKOMorningShow prove to be a force to recognize. Our main goals are always to reach a wide audience on web3/web2 across all platforms in many forms of content to educate and onboard more people to the NEAR Protocol.

  • Even with three TikTok episodes having no data, each should average around 350-400 views, we still achieve impressive view numbers, indicating a consistent and strong growth for the NEKOMorningShow.

  • For NEKOMorningShow Season 4, YouTube has demonstrated significant growth in views and impressions on our live podcast.

  • The funding we received has empowered us to produce high-quality podcasts, develop interactive tasks, upgrade our setup, and elevate the overall content quality delivered by both hosts. Not all of the funding we receive is allocated to host compensation; our primary goal is consistently to enhance and improve our setup and podcast quality. These improvements will be evident in our upcoming podcasts as we continue to scale up and enhance our production.

  • Based on the KPIs outlined in the report and our innovative approach to the show, we can confidently say that we have achieved the MDAO KPIs for the month of November.

Our use of interactive tasks, high-profile guests, and the tools at our disposal with a variety of content options and platforms have enabled us to effectively manage and attain these objectives.

Moving ahead, our dedication to delivering valuable content, engaging with our audience, and expanding our reach remains resolute. Exciting opportunities await us on the horizon, and we eagerly anticipate accomplishing even more significant milestones in the time to come.

Looking forward, we plan to approach the Marketing DAO to request additional funding for another month. This will enable us to sustain the momentum of our platform, pursue our essential mission of educating newcomers, existing users, and onboarding more individuals to the NEAR Protocol, and further enhance our Podcast.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Marketing DAO for their invaluable support, and we are steadfast in our commitment to advancing our mission of delivering valuable content to our viewers. Our aim is to uphold our standing as the premier podcast show within the NEAR Protocol community.
