Looking ahead, we are excited to share additional updates from the Marketing DAO.

Marketing DAO Content Bounty program: we are excited to announce the new Marketing DAO Content Creator Bounty Program. View the announcement and guidelines here.

Update to reporting process: in order to further standardize performance metrics, we are requesting that all grant recipients submit a Report on the Forum AND a 5-question report form.

  • Marketing DAO Report Form
  • To calculate Average Engagement Rate Percentage, use the formula:
    • (Total Likes, Shares & Comments / Total Followers) X 100 = AER %

Marketing DAO Google Calendar: we have published a Marketing DAO Google Calendar for ecosystem use and will be populating it with events hosted by the Marketing DAO and grant recipients. Send your events to the Marketing DAO council for inclusion on the calendar via the MDAO Telegram Hub.

Marketing DAO Office Hours: In January, we will kick off hosting Marketing DAO Office Hours to support ecosystem members in their marketing and growth efforts. The first office hours will be held January 9 at 11AM ET.

Marketing DAO BOS page: currently under development, a new Marketing DAO BOS page will launch in January 2024.

PR for ecosystem projects: the Marketing DAO has begun the process to onboard the PR agency and DAO Myosin to support PR and media efforts for community projects and the NDC starting in Q1 2024. We will share more details after finalizing next steps during the January review period.

New guidance for proposals and reports since NDC v1: Now that v1’s interim period is live, we are continuing development on the following updates for grantees. We request grantees include the following in proposals and reports:

  1. Metrics clarity:
    Enhance all reports by providing specific and quantifiable metrics for each achievement, facilitating a more quantitative assessment.

  2. Impact assessment:
    – Emphasize the outcomes or impact of community engagement activities, events, and collaborations for a more detailed report.
    – Include qualitative outcomes to deliver a full understanding of proposed activities’ performance.

  3. Budget transparency:
    Share insights into the pricing logic (e.g., market rate benchmarks) and effectiveness of budget allocation for various community engagement initiatives.

  4. KPIs definition:
    Clearly define and communicate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for initiatives to assess success against objectives comprehensively.

  5. Feedback integration:
    Incorporate testimonials or feedback from influencers, bloggers, and community members to add credibility to the reports.

  6. Performance statement:
    Share a clear statement on what improved from the previous funding period (if applicable) and what did not improve.

  7. Support request:
    Include any key challenges or current needs in the report to allow visibility into actionable areas where the ecosystem and community members may offer collaboration and support.

  8. Weekly Updates:
    Encourage a consistent practice of weekly updates to maintain a steady flow of information to the community.

  9. Correlation of metrics:
    Correlate impression performance with specific engagement metrics to assess the quality of impressions.

  10. Timely fund delivery:
    Ensure timely fund delivery to cover key performance indicators.
