IMPACT

The Plantasia DAO brings an innovative project by creating an important archive of various artistic scenes throughout the world that would be otherwise forgotten by future generations. To connect past, present and future by joining forces with the NEAR community and other projects such as will only enrich the ecosystem and strengthen the bonds between the IRL events and the web3. We are looking forward to new and exciting partnerships with other DAOs. Feel free to contact us!

Projects from last edition

We promoted more than 25 concerts, live sets, dj sets and events IRL and on CryptoVoxels helping to integrate IRL and web3. In the beginning we were simply broadcasting the concerts through Twitch + CryptoVoxels. Later on we decided to create a database in order to keep a rich musical archive for everyone to have access to.

WHAT IS THE DAO’S GOAL AND OBJECTIVE?

Plantasia is a DAO whose main goal is to promote artists and creatives from underground scene to emerging scene backgrounds by various activities connected to web3, ecology and IRL events.

**PROPOSAL **

In our third phase our goal is met by providing an archive through a unique online database of worldwide events with the help of two In Loco correspondents (Eyal Talmor and Vicente Booth) as well as space in our webradio platform to broadcast and collaborate freely through projects that integrate music, arts and the universe of crypto-art. A big part of the project is also our IRL events, which we are currently working on. In those we are integrating artists and local community by doing the event in Alentejo with the support of the Municipality and a second one is Lisbon by partnering with Events/Labels/Collectives that we will be uploading their material onto our unique database constantly. ROADMAP TO REACH THE GOAL

This year, we aim to strengthen the partnerships with the creative community in IRL projects, other DAOs and in the NEAR ecosystem as well as creating a unique database that wil represent various artistic scenes and our generation. Our In Loco correspondents are already in job positions that include visiting various countries constantly so by making use of this opportunity we will increase our collabs, the community/events/labels additions and their integration to the web3.

COMMUNITY

We had a few position changes as you can see in the beginning of this post, but the crew is almost the same with the addition of the following ones.

Vivanja (@vivanjx)

Originally from Nova Iguaçu-Brazil, Vivanja moves between Rio de Janeiro, Paris and Lisbon building a varied career within the fields of art and history. Her investigative career began in two renowned institutions: the Museum of Modern Arts of Rio /MAM-RJ and the Museum of Image and Sound / MIS - RJ. Studied Museology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and graduated in theatre, Vivanja dedicated herself to exhibition, play productions, acting and co-directions. In her Master in Art History at the Sorbonne Universités - Paris, 2020 researched the relations between Brazil’s said Empire, the Portuguese court and the French statuary model implemented in the end of the 19th century.

Miguel /@MiguelOliveira

Currently based in Lisbon, Miguel is oriented towards a left field way of thinking and expression. He finished his academic studies with a bachelor degree in Electronic Music and Music Production, giving him the basis to keep nourishing his interest in the sonic and digital arts. He is now associated with the Plantasialx collective as an events producer and music researcher.

Helena Inverno

Helena Inverno – Expoente M Helena Inverno - IMDb

Helena lives in Ferreira do Alentejo. She has participated in several artist residencies, in Europe, Morocco and Japan, and has a vast videographic work: animation, documentaries, educational and heritage promos, video art and for stage. The artist has received awards in Film, Video Art Film Montage, Music and Drawing. Her works can be seen internationally in film festivals, galleries and art museums.

Fernanda Liberti https://www.fernandaliberti.com

Growing up in Rio de Janeiro, she was surrounded by the rain forest and the beach whilst also living within a chaotic metropolitan city; this contrast between the natural and man-made world is a recurring theme that she explores in her work. Her photographs, videos, and collages invite the viewer to immerse themselves in the constructed realities that they offer.
From forests and waterfalls to human bodies and surreal settings: her work is an attempt to understand our relationship to the ever-shifting environments in which we live. A study to explore post-colonial roles and experiences of people of colour, women and LGBTQ+ people in the twenty-first century.

Vandal @Vandal

Rapper, community leader and founder of VanDAO, Vandal was always ahead of his time. A true guide who led us as a collective into the web3 and currently collaborates with us broadcasting concerts from his studio at Arroz Estudios.

Raquel Areia @raquelareia

Former community manager and current council member of Arroz Criativo DAO, Raquel Lima is a journalist with 15 years of experience in international coverage of both technology and culture. Based in Lisbon for almost 8 years, she was a reporter for Notícias Ao Minuto, and then producer and community manager at the cultural center Fábrica Braço de Prata. Raquel then began working as a press agent for artists, authors and musicians, as well as for events such as Rare Effect vol 3, Folio Festival (Óbidos) and the Brazilian Film Festival in Lisbon. Raquel has also created successful strategies for brands such as Wine Concept, Vazconstrói and Cicero Bistrot. For Raquel, communication is “building bridges with words”.
