[Proposal] Dandelions Bee Market Funding Request, June 2022

[PROPOSAL] Dandelions Bee Market Funding Request, June 2022

Subtotal Requested: $1250 in USN

In the interest of fostering self-sustainability, we are designing the Bee Market, a market space within the Pollen Nation Metaverse, which is projected to launch by the middle of June. This is a vendor space where RFTs (Real F*ing Thing) are attached to NFTs. The RFTs can be anything legal that has real world value, whether it is a service or physical item. The items can be available locally, nationally or internationally. The goal of the Bee Market is to promote sustainable products and practices on web3 AND to move Dandelions DAO towards financial self-sustainability AND support others in doing the same.

Budget $1250
$700: Bee Market: Design, organize, coordinate NFT/RFT market space, recruit artists and artisans to participate as vendors
$200: Host a live monthly web3 social and market
$100: Design Bee Market logo
$100: Host weekly store hours
$150: promotion of space on social media and NEAR

Timeline:
We have already begun recruiting artists and artisans to participate as vendors and will continue this effort. The logo and promotions on social media and NEAR will start mid-June. We begin hosting weekly market store ours as soon as Pollen Nation is launched. The monthly social will be scheduled for the end of June.

@dandelionshoneybees can you clarify who will be assigned the above-listed tasks and give a price breakdown for the $700 design fee, please? Thank you!

Yes! Thanks. I should have broken that down:

So, attaching an RFT to an NFT requires coordinating with the vendors. For example, one of the items that are offered in the beemarket includes a $2000+ retreat to Mexico from an experienced host. This entails creating the NFT for the RFT and drafting copy for the item offered. We are also working on recruiting vendors from our affiliated artist communities, often explaining to them web3, NEAR protocol, Dandelions and Honeybees, onboarding them onto NEAR, etc. Of course, some vendor items require more input than others. “Designing” doesn’t refer to web3 design, but designing the concept.

If we as council members pay ourselves $25/hour for this work, that gives us about 7 hours each week to coordinate the vendors. Once again, this is new territory. I feel our vision to attach RFTs to NFTs supports the promotion of entrepreneurship in web3 and will make it more lucrative mainstream users and creatives.

We are building slowly but surely, are receiving great feedback and people are more open to exploring web3.
