About Me:

I am Dery from Jakarta, Indonesia, an engineer graduate who currently specializes in the fields of business, marketing, and community development.

A little flashback, I joined NEAR in 2021 upon the invitation of my friends from Paras (@riqi ) and mediated with @shreyas to initiate the Indonesian Guild. Since then, I’ve been building the NEAR Indonesia community from scratch together with our team until now.

Thanks to @Dacha , in 2022, I was given the opportunity to build the Aurora Indonesia community from the ground up and develop it into the vibrant and engaged community it has become today.

In my daily activities at NEAR, since the end of 2021, I have interacted a lot with several parties both inside and outside the NEAR ecosystem for activities: partnerships, campaigns, AMAs, online and offline events working together including with NFs, project owners, global & local exchange and local crypto communities.

A person who is ready to roll up their sleeves and work diligently, both behind the scenes and in the forefront.

Goals?

Nothing left behind

Nothing will be overlooked…

Being a part of council member means we must be supportive and serve all regions equally, without favoritism.

No region is considered better, worse, or ignored as long as they meet the standard and required KPIs.

I desire to see the NEAR ecosystem grow and expand across all regions, utilizing their full potential. We will work together to help solve any problems in each region according to the shared vision, mission, and objectives of the NDC and NEAR.

I would like to establish a situation where every region can smoothly conduct NEAR-related activities: Dev, Creative, and Marketing while working together in harmony.

Where is your home?

Palembang-Jakarta, Indonesia

What communities do you represent?

Continent: Asia (Indonesia)

Why are you a good candidate? Why should people vote for you?

From the beginning of my journey with NEAR, my main responsibility has been community building. This involves starting from scratch and learning about the NEAR/Aurora ecosystem, forming a team, communicating with potential partners and projects, organizing online and offline events, and connecting with crypto communities and ecosystems outside of NEAR/Aurora in Indonesia.

From my experience, I comprehend the significant obstacles that come with community building, such as managing internal teams, garnering community support, and navigating the overall ecosystem.

I work hands-on towards creating a sense of belonging, connection, and collaboration among community members, mostly in organizing events, facilitating discussions, providing support, and encouraging active participation.

Through this chance, I am excited to get more involved in meeting the community’s wants and needs. I am ready to listen, understand, and evaluate what the community seeks.

Explain your strategy for developing regional communities.

In simpler terms, it’s important to recognize that each region has its own special qualities and ways of doing things when it comes to building communities. I want to support each region in realizing its full potential and making valuable contributions to the growth of the NEAR ecosystem.

Here are the strategies:

  • Encourage every region to assess their strengths, resources, and current position in order to understand their identity and potential from both leadership and member perspectives.
  • Invite representatives from each region to identify any obstacles that may hinder community development progress.
  • Enhance transparency in all activities.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and goals based on the evaluation and capabilities of each region.
  • Maintain communication with every region to help them achieve their goals more efficiently.
  • invite and guide each region be able to initiate activities including holding local, regional, and international scale NEAR-related events
  • All in all, we will provide the necessary support and guidance to empower community members, developers, users, and projects in each region, tailored to their specific needs and circumstances to enrich the NEAR community.

Please let us know of any expectations regarding your time commitment and compensation.

I can allocate up to 50 hours per week and adjust my schedule and payment policies according to the guidance, needs, and expectations of the NDC

Please disclose any potential conflicts of interest and feel free to be creative.

I don’t have any other official roles or responsibilities within the NDC. This means I won’t have any conflicting duties or commitments that could distract me from my work or cause conflicts of interest.

About my role as a guild leader for NEAR Indonesia, if I become a council member, I will abstain from voting on our community proposal. Instead, I will allow the other council members to make the decision and cast their votes.

Personal Notes:

Before this, I had doubts and felt shy about registering, but thanks to the support of friends in the regional community and close individuals, I gathered the courage to step forward and offer my total commitment and loyalty to the NEAR ecosystem to the next level.

Whoever is elected will undoubtedly be the best choice for the collective interest, and I am ready to support the initiatives and programs of the future selected council members.

Cheers :beers:,
Dery
