[HACKATHON CHALLENGE] NFTs & DAOs

For our Partner Challenge for the METABUIDL hackathon, we are asking you to prototype an app which involves both NFTs and DAOs.

Some ideas:

  • nft-market which allows you to not only click “buy now” but also “buy via DAO” which would submit a proposal to a sputnik v2 to purchase the NFT!
  • a page for NFT minting via Sputnik V2
  • A Sputnik V2 fork which uses NFTs as membership (instead of fungible tokens!)

Prizes:

  • $2000 in NEAR for the best app prototype submission
  • $1500 for for the two runners up for best app submission!

Hi there! I want to write a Sputnik V2 fork that uses NFTs as a membership token, with NFTs representing an artist who needs sponsorship (with a royalty going to them) and also some money going to the DAO to fund fees required for creating the NFT (token holders can vote to include art as an NFT in the DAO collection). Holding one or more NFTs represents having exactly one vote (as NFTs cannot be counted) as to how the funds are dispersed. The DAO can also vote on giving grants to artists in need.

Hi all, wasn’t sure exactly where to post this but we submitted for this challenge. We have made our submission public at https://www.municipalartregistry.org/near where you can find details of how we integrate NFTs & DAOs with our Alameda Master Arts plan, currently being reviewed by the city and authorized by a grant from the NEAR foundation.
