Discord Weekly Report (09/25)-(10/01)

Hey team! I hope you all had a great weekend and everything is fine. I am going to proceed with an analysis of the statistics provided by Discord. The growth of our server was great during this week, almost every day more than 100 users joined, and we keep recovering from that fell of almost 6k members, which obviously were bots.

Metrics analysis

As i previously mentioned almost every day more than 100 members joined our server, which is a great number, but what i find even more important than the quantity of new members, is the quality and the level of engagement of them. During this week always more than 20% of the joiners visited more than three channels, and always more than 15% talked. Which is great, because in the past weeks this numbers were considerably lower.

It´s important to mention that we maintained our quantity of members, and even increased it almost hitting 28k members, which is an excellent quantity, and i am planning to increase it. I will explain it later.

There is not much more to add regarding discord statistics, so i am finishing the analyisis here!

PLANS

I said in the report that I planned to increase the number of new members, my strategy is as follows:

Just today I added a new bot to the server which is called “Invite Tracker”, which as the name suggests, keeps a count of new members and those people who have the most invitations done on the server. My partner and friend @KriptoRaptor mentioned that in other communities through the count of invitations to the discord server gave benefits to members, such as priorities in the MINT of NFTs, giveaways, airdrops and others that would be a question of analyzing and see which would be the most effective. I would love to get your opinion on this, as I personally consider that this would be positive in terms of marketing, but one can be wrong and I don’t want to do something that the NEAR team doesn’t think is right! You can check the bot in the discord channel #invite-rank , please take a look at it and if you have questions do not hesitate to DM me!

That´s all for today´s post folks, have an excellent week,

your friend

Nailed it, as always :muscle:

I wonder if there’s more we can do to prevent the amount of scams in the Discord (though I suspect maybe not). There’s so many appearing in the #report-scams channel :sob:

Yeah David scammers are always present in Discord servers, i personally search for usernames such as “Support” “Help” or even our MODS names so then i can ban them, but apart from that i did not found any other solution for this. It seems that the #report-scams channel is the best way to handle them.
