Hey folks! I hope you are all doing great, let me share with you my discord metrics analysis for this week.
Metrics Analysis
To begin with i´ll mention the biggest new in Discord, we had a big drop in members, arround 6k members left the server, that´s not possitive at all and i could not find any reasons to this. However, the metrics that discord provides do not match, one chart shows a drop of 6k members the 19th and in the other chart it only says that 66 members left on the same day and this is strange, but i think it had something to do with bots, like if there was a massive elimination of fake accounts that were in our server. Here you have the metrics:
As you can see, almost 6k members left in one day, this is not common at all and i am pretty sure it had something to do with bots, so i am not worried because from the 20th to the 24th our members quantity kept growing and growing, which shows us that our Discord community keeps growing every day.
As i previously mentioned, this graphic shows server leavers over this week, and the 19th it demonstrates that only 66 people left, so i am not sure why this statistics do not match! This is something to keep an eye on.
On the other hand we have the metrics of new members. This number is great, we averaged more than 240 new members per day, which is absoluteley great as we keep attracting people everyday. It´s important to mention that in July, for example, the average joiners per day were 100, so we considerably multiplied our reach!
And when it comes to communicators, it still in the same percentage, arround 15%, which it is not bad but it could be better.
Another interesting fact is in which communities NEAR has more impact, our strongest community is the Indian one, but we also have a great impact in Vietnam, Nigeria, and Indonesia! Showing that Asian and African communities are our strongest ones.
With this i can conclude with my analisis, and go on with the tasks covered during the last week.
I found that during 02:00AM and 10:00 AM (UTC) our discord server and telegram chat did not have someone that moderate them as my time zone and @KriptoRaptor ´s does not allow us to do it. In discord, @jlwaugh and @David_NEAR help me during this time slot, for which I am grateful to them, but after a meeting with @jcatnear and @David_NEAR we agreed that it would be better if we find someone to cover this time zone so James and David do not have to moderate. I am currently looking for someone to cover this task. There are several users who contacted me, and the ideal would be to give the opportunity to people who are active in the community, since they would be the most suitable for this position. So i will meet with the ones who contacted me, select the ones that i consider appropiate, and then i´ll delegate them to JC so she decide who fits the best. I´ll keep you updated with this, and any suggestions are welcome!
