INTRODUCTION:

The THESPIANS DAO is a community of Actors & Actresses who perform for both Stage and Film; including the crew members behind the stage and camera.

The DAO uses the acting platform to educate, entertain and give solutions to world problems, using the NEAR Ecosystem as it’s driving force.

The purpose of the Thespians DAO is to create platforms for Actors and Actresses to freely express their creativity and heal the world through dramas and films. And to also appreciate the effort put in place by crew members who work tirelessly behind the stage and camera to make these works of Art a success.

In July, We had a beautiful month as we hosted our Maiden Stage Drama in Nigeria. The Stage Drama was a huge success as new NEARians were entertained, educated and onboarded. We also minted 20 pictures and one Stage Drama NFT on Mintbase

Our Monologue Challenge was epic, it got us more 121 new online members in all platforms. And we were able to generate online contents from the Challenge.

AUGUST PLANS AND PROJECTS:
We believe there should be a time DAOs should self-sustain themselves, hence our Self Sustainability Program.
This August, we want to set up a Studio Space in Lagos, Nigeria; so that we can be having our rehearsals there and as well shoot our Film Dramas in the same Studio.

We will be hosting another form of Drama this August, known as DANCE DRAMA. This is one of its kind, and you know it is one of one when Thespians Players are on stage. We will engage more people with this Dance Drama and as well onboard a great number of NEARians into the Ecosystem this August.

Hello Tespians DAO!

Moderators would like to know more about your proposal below:

  1. Based on your roadmap you are planning to build your own Audio-Visual Studio and renting it in the same time? What tools will you be buying for your Audio-Visual Studio?

  2. What do you plan to do when your rent expires? Do you have any endpoints? Will you reach self-sustainability then? I assume that you will enquire professional equipment, but where do you plan to shoot your content then?

  3. How do you plan to earn as a DAO once you will complete your roadmap at the end of 2022?

The building where the Thespians DAO Audio-Visual Studio will be set up is going to be under rent. This is because it will cost alot of money to buy such building, and we can’t raise such money now - may be later; as $4,000 cannot buy a building in Lagos Island, Nigeria.

The Thespians DAO is not only for Stage Drama Actors, we also care about Film Drama Actors and we need to onboard them into the NEAR Protocol. So, we need to implement our initial plans of having Film Drama NFTs (while we also creat Stage Drama NFTs) and it will come as NFT Series. Paying for a location for a Film Production in Lagos, Nigeria will cost around $300 per day, now imagine when we are shooting for one week in same space, we are talking about $2100 for using the location in a week. Considering this, is better we rent an empty building for a year and set it up the way it will fit our stories and save cost as well (it will save alot of money).

Our Audio-Visual Studio would have two segments - Visual & Audio.

The Visual Studio would have a house setting to depict a typical Nigerian youth, which our storyline will evolve around him and his lifestyle. Our Film Drama NFTs (Series) would be Comedy. So, we will have cushion settings, bed settings and other props to show that a Youth lives there. In terms of equipment, we would also have 2 Cameras and lenses, (plus Light set up in times to come)

The Audio Studio would have monitor speakers, microphone, sound card and filter.
We will inculcate Audio Studio scenes too into our storylines. So apart from creating Audio NFTs in the studio, Creating Radio Drama NFTs; the Audio Studio can serve as a location for our Film Dramas too.

We believe we can sustain the rent of the space with revenues generated from the activities happening within the Audio-Visual Studio. We will create arts that will be sold on both Web3 markets and other platforms. Creatives can also pay some tokens to make use of the space, this will help to save up money to sustain the rent of the space when it expires.

Every equipment we purchase as a DAO has two purposes: (1) To help us minimize costs of production, and (2) To help us generate funds to sustain our DAO.
Are we going to achieve all we have in mind for our DAO within 6 months? No, it is not possible, but we would have made some significant footprints before the end of 2022. We have a lot coming, but we can’t just pour them out within 6 months. You are looking at the first DAO to own a Cinema House on the Metaverse in few months to come, that is why we are making it a priority to have an Audio-Visual Studio that can help us create unlimited contents without much funding or cost.

As we are setting up a Cinema on the Metaverse, we are also giving the offline Audience opportunities to watch our Film Dramas, buy tickets and learn about Web3 Ecosystem and Near Protocol on the go.

Hope I’m able to clarify the Moderators on this, and answer these questions as well.

I stand to be directed and guided, because this Ecosystem belongs to all of us, and Thespians DAO is a growing DAO as well. So, we need all the love we can get.

Thespians DAO is meant to start rehearsals next tomorrow (If we get approval).

We should be ready with Auditions and locations by now. But we can’t, as we are yet to get your approval.

We submitted proposals early to avoid pressures of rushing productions, could you please give us some attentions, thanks.
