1. BACKGROUND INFORMATION
- DAO introduction *
The THESPIANS DAO is a community of Actors & Actresses, who perform for both Stage and Film; including the crew members and all theater lovers who finds value in our Arts.
The DAO uses the acting platform to educate, entertain, and connect web2 users and Creatives to dApps, DeFi, Metaverse Experience and Web3 as a whole; using the NEAR Ecosystem as it’s driving force.
THESPIANS DAO’s PURPOSE
The purpose of the Thespians DAO is to create platforms for Actors and Actresses to freely express their creativity and heal the world through dramas and films. And to also appreciate the effort put in place by crew members who work tirelessly behind the stage and camera to make these works of Art a success; in the same vein having returns through NFTs, Web3 Event Ticketing, Metaverse Experience; inculcating the usage of NEAR dApps & DeFi in our theatrical activities as well.

We have a team of experts who have been practicing in the Web3 World for more than a year now and also experts in Film and theatrical field for more than 10 years.
Roxy The Entertainer ( @Roxy )
Johnson Chukwu, popularly known as Roxy is a graduate of Theatre & Film Studies Department, University of Nigeria. He majors in cinematography and editing. Roxy road to stardom picked up when he started shooting music videos for: Magnito, Bella Shmurda, Oga Sabinus, Mc Makopolo (to mention but a few). These guys are top celebrities in Nigeria. He has been a great tool in pushing the Thespians DAO to a lofty height. He has been active in the NEAR Ecosystem for more than a year.

Daniel is a production Manager who has worked for different Media Companies in Lagos Nigeria. He’s a specialist in Drone Pilot and managing a Film or Drama Production. He has been the on-field soldier for all Thespians DAO projects. He does most of the work, but unfortunately gets the least notice. He is a hard-working fellow in pre-production and production activities. He has been active in the NEAR Ecosystem for more than a year.

Henry is a world class cinematographer. His experience in the cinematic world had given him International visibility. His first travel to Dubai was in the bid to share his experience in the film production world.

Femd is an Award Winning Editor. He is world class! Having Femd in our team is absolutely a win-win. He edits for most Cinema movies out of Nigeria. Femd is the best man for the post-production job.
Chizy ( @Chizyj )
Chizy is in charge of our Audio Studio (when set up). He is a talented music Artiste with a trending EP on Web2 before being onboarded by Thespians DAO.
Jobonson Smart:
A very creative writer, Director and Continuity Manager. He is part of us and you would gradually get to know him in series of our upcoming projects. He has written so many movies and have worked with many celebrities in Nigeria. We have worked with him as web2 Artiste, and he would be Onboarded in the course of this project.

Spicytee:
A social media promoter and a guru in generating traffics for events and contents.
He is also a music Artiste with over 10,000 followers on Instagram. We have worked with him as web2 Artiste, and he would be Onboarded in the course of this project.
My Team is the best to receive the funding because we are built with experience and very eager to work. This has been seen on our past 3 projects as we onboarded nothing less than 70 New NEARians, traveling more than a 12 hours journey to spread the gospel of NEAR and different DAOs like NEAR Digital Fashion DAO came out from the activities of the Thespians DAO Activities in the Eastern Part of Nigeria.

We have written a total number of 7 Proposals over a period of 7 months to Creatives DAO, 3 of those proposals were approved while 4 of them were not approved (since inception).
We have 4 Council members, 11 On-chain members and 306 Members on all different Social Media platforms.

As part of our contribution to Ecosystem, we have kick-started a campaign known as “the3flix”

Our 3 main Goals in Thespians DAO are to Entertain, Educate and Onboard. We have successfully made use of our Creativity to onboard more than 70 New NEARians and educate them on the advantage of Web3, Crypto and why they should operate under the NEAR Ecosystem. We will continue to onboard a great number of people and move them from web2 Creatives to Web3 Creatives.
We are promoting the Web3 possibilities of practicing Drama NFT in Africa, Web3 Drama Ticketing and creating self sustainibilty platforms for Actors and Actresses to make money for themselves through hosting of stage drama and Cinema premiering of Film Dramas in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. We are the first DAO from Africa to mint a Stage Drama under the NEAR Protocol.
As part of our “the3flix” Project, we would be collaborating with NEARhub team to stream live some Film Drama and Stage Drama Coaching Classes, which will draw web2 users to NEARhub to learn how to: make up, costume, shoot, act, stage design, script and other important things to learn in the Art of Film Making and Stage Drama.
In the course of our activities this year, Tamago will witness the first Film Sound Track from Thespians DAO.
Arrangements have been put in place to see that these projects work out and our social media publicity team headed by Spicytee will see we generate traffic before and during the Premiering of these contents.
- 2023 One Year Roadmap
In the advent of new guidelines by the Creatives DAO, we have to readjust our Roadmap to achieve NFs goals and targets for DAOs.
Apart from mass onboarding and opening of hundreds of active NEAR wallets, we would pay more attention to creating and selling of NFTs; providing contents for NEARhub, Tamago, Mintbase and Paras. Including Self Sustainibilty though IRL crypto event ticketing and revenues from our contents on YouTube (which will be monetized before the report of this proposal, if and when approved).
Our contents would come in forms of Stage Dramas, Dance Dramas, Film Dramas, Radio/Audio Dramas, Onboarding Classes, Tutorials on How-To-Do and YouTube Monetized Contents.
First Quarter
We will register Thespians DAO as a Legal Wrapper. We consider using service like
https://otoco.io/ (or any other) that offer LLC wrapper to safeguard the name on the Blockchain.
We will be hosting a Short Film Drama that will be premiered on NEARhub before upload on YouTube.
We would host a Bounty to inspire the community to follow our Film Drama streaming on NEARhub and as well to achieve a large number of Audience on the Metaverse. There will be massive social media publicity to draw traffic to the space and attract Web2 Artistes to participate too.
There will be massive online publicity growth for our Social Media pages and we will apply for YouTube Monetization to give us a good platform to generate revenue for contents that will be coming out from Thespians DAO Audio-Visual Studio.
We would also embark on getting the script for our first NFT Film Drama Series ready. We would also run a documentary/interview with the Nollywood writer as we onboard him into the NEAR Ecosystem.
We will kick off with series of production meetings ahead of our Film Drama Series which will be coming up at the second quarter of the funding year 2023.
We would be putting aside savings to design and launch our “the3flix” NEARhub Space; which will be spearheaded by Jeff of NEARhub Team.
Second Quarter
From the experience and success gathered with the short film in the first quarter, we will be going on Set for our Film Drama NFT Project. This project would be a 6 Episode Film, that will be shot in Thespians Audio-Visual Studio Space. Three Episodes in the second quarter and the remaining three episodes in the third quarter of project funding.

And we would need to talk to Africans in a way Africans should understand crypto and the NEAR Ecosystem in particular.

Short Film Drama on NEARhub & YouTube
Description:
The concept of this project is to shoot a Short Film for the promotion of Web3 and NFT; and discouraging youths from engaging in frauds. This is going to a story that centered on a Graphics Designer who his Mum sent to go and learn fraud, but down the line he discovered himself, learnt about NEAR Protocol and sold his first NFT Collections.
This project will inspire alot of Nigerian youths to look away from fraudulent activities and focus on Web3, Cryptocurrency and NFT as well.

Film Drama NFT Script for Thespians DAO
Description:
The first Film Drama NFT under the NEAR Protocol would be coming up mid year, and we are happy it is coming from the creative activities of the Thespians DAO.
But before that, we need a script to guide us both in cost breakdown and acting blocking for the Actors and Actresses; and we are happy to be employing the services of an Award Winning Nollywood Script writer in the person of Smart, Ify Jobonson
Smart, Ify Jobonson is a trained Film Maker from the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka. He is a Script Supervisor, Writer & Director for ROK Studies, Lagos Nigeria. Assistant Director, Ojukwu and Living in Abuja ROK Original Series. Writer/Director Homework, Daddy’s Angels and many yet to be released amazing feature films.
We are going to onboard Jobonson into the NEAR Ecosystem as he writes our first Film Drama NFT Series.
The Film Drama Script project and educational video from Jobonson on how to be a good script writer or how to start a career as a script writer. The writer will mint the pictures gotten from the educational videos on Paras, as his own way of learning how to mint and actively participate under the NEAR Ecosystem. Part of the earnings from the NFT will be shared between the writer and Thespians DAO from Smart Contracts.

Part Payment for “the3flix” NEARhub Space
Description:
We will be designing “the3flix” NEARhub Space. This is to get Thespians DAO fully engaged in the Metaverse Activities and encourage intra-DAO contents on the Metaverse; as well as generating daily to weekly usage of NEAR wallets by the community who wishes to get entertained on our Space.
The concept of “the3flix” NEARhub Space is a Cinema-like Structure on the Metaverse with contents flowing in from Thespians on a weekly basis.
Therefore, hey Community, get ready…we are about to unleash.
The budget for “the3flix” NEARhub Space is $2,500 which will be divided into three payment schemes.
$500 for this funding quarter,
$1,000 for next funding quarter,
And $1,000 for the last 2023 funding quarter.

Description:
Part of our plans is to create a platform that will be on people’s feed on most Social Media.
This will make us to employ the activities of a Web2 Social Media Gurus to help grow and manage our Social Media pages and apply for the Monetization of our YouTube Page.
Monetizing our YouTube will give us a step ahead in Self Sustainibilty because we are creating contents strictly for YouTube and will generate revenue from there to maintain one or two activities of the DAO.

- What is the goal of the DAO’s objective?
Our 3 Main Goals in Thespians DAO are to Onboard, Entertain and Educate. And we are creatively structuring our activities to be in line with these Goals and that of NF.
We have come to understand the essence of a Community, and are making strategic plans to build community that will see values in our Arts and build with us, as well as buying and reselling of our NFTs; and learning from the experts who will be working with us as well.
There are alot of ideas, techs and dApps coming up in every minute in the Ecosystem, many people find it hard to understand these developments by just reading about them, this is where we come in…we are structuring stories to help communicate these ideas in acting both on Stage, Film and Audio Dramas.
Thespians DAO is explaining the benefits and usefulness of these dApps and techs, not through word of mouth, but in flesh and blood through acting.
We are also developing ideas to help us into self sustainibilty as we produce these contents, this includes NEAR Web3 Ticketing, YouTube Monetization, streaming of Contents on “the3flix” after it’s launching; promotion and selling of NFTs.
- Roadmap to reach the goal
We are arranging Stage Dramas, Film Dramas and Audio Dramas to help in communicating NEAR dApps, and we are also going to promote contents to reach wider audience and sell more NFTs, as well as making money from our YouTube contents which will be shot in Thespians DAO Audio-Visual Studio Space.
We are going to drive alot of traffic to NEARhub, and we are looking at about 30 - 50 visiting audience to the NEARhub, on the days we would go live.
As an arm of our “the3flix” project, we are kick-starting the creation of our Cinema-like Space on NEARhub, to give Thespians freedom and room to create dramatic contents for the Metaverse and participate in full as well.
We want to be able to make our own money and provide some funds for the DAO Activities, so we won’t be always relying on NF funds; this has created the need to Monetize our YouTube and as well massively run strategic promotion for our contents and activities, so that we can sell more of our NFTs and make money from Social Media as well.
- How is the longer term goal divided into milestones making the DAO reach there?
In the first Quarter of 2023 Funding Year, we want to have a Legal Wrapper, build an outstanding footprint on the NEARhub (having to partner with the NEARhub Team), as we also start the designs of our “the3flix” NEARhub Space by Jeff.
We are also shooting a short Film to heal the youths and redirect their mindsets to revenue generation through creation of NFTs, inspired by NEAR Protocol.
We are starting marathon publicity to help us build a better Community and sell our NFTs, and to make more money through YouTube Monetization. This will prompt other intra-DAO-funded activities to be posted on our YouTube, apart from those funded by NF.
In the Second Funding Quarter of 2023, we will see Thespians DAO producing the first Film Drama NFT Series. This will have 3 episodes. After Post-production, we will partner with Cinema houses to run a ticketed premier event, where audience would come to watch the Drama and in so doing learn about the activities of NEAR Protocol and dApps running on them.
We will kickstart the development of “the3flix” dApp, and make sure it goes live. This would be in partnership with the Developer DAO. Discussions are ongoing on how to make this dApp a successful one.
There will also be Drama Preview on the NEARhub and bounties will be awarded to audience who paid maximum attention during the Premiering. Online publicity will take place to draw massive audience to the Metaverse as usual. We will be targeting 30-50 audience on that day.
We are hosting a Vodcast too on Thespians DAO Audio-Visual Studio Space, which will be live on Prince Iyke Instagram (with more than 100,000 followers: https://instagram.com/princeiyk_?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=)
This will enable us generate much traffic for the Vodcast and as well reach out to a large number of people.
We will continue the funding and design of our “the3flix” NEARhub Space which will be supervised by Jeff of NEARhub.
Marathon online promotion to enable us promote and sell our NFTs would still be ongoing, and our social media contents will be promoted massively. Contents would be created to generate revenue on YouTube too.
In the Third Funding Quarter of 2023, we will complete the remaining 3 Episodes of the Film Drama NFT Series Project.
As usual, after Post-production, we will partner with Cinema houses to run a ticketed premier event, where audience would come to watch the Drama and in so doing learn about the activities of NEAR Protocol and dApps running on them.

We will complete the funding and design of our “the3flix” NEARhub Space, and we are expected to have the full design completed and handed over to us in this funding Quarter.
Marathon online promotion to enable us promote and sell our NFTs would still be ongoing, and our social media contents will be promoted massively. Contents would be created to generate revenue on YouTube too.
There will be a Master-class for Editors in Thespians DAO Audio-Visual Studio Space. Contents will be generated here and posted on Mintbase, Paras and Social Media platforms.

@roxy - he’s in of charge project conceptualization, keeping the DAO updated with new developments, and supervision of projects.
@dandyjj - he’s in charge of our Visual Studio Space maintenance, production management and controlling unforseen circumstances during production.
@Henry126 - he’s in charge of supervising post production activities, making sure materials are available for publication on time and as of when due.
@ChizyJ - he’s in charge of Thespians DAO Audio Studio and it’s Management. This also includes our music NFTs and Audio Drama NFTs.
