Potential ROI for NEAR Ecosystem:

The main goal of this hackathon is to build self-sustainable communities around creative projects on NEAR. We are considering how participants could earn rewards by launching Sputnik DAO councils to solve real problems for creators / developers. I believe this effort will grow the number of apps on testnet and help us connect with web3 developers. Furthermore, it can lead to progress in terms of integrating NEAR and Gitcoin.

We intend to build on the momentum of Open Web Collective Demo Day (April 12-14) and the Open Web Community Summit (April 16). This hackathon will run Saturday, April 17, until Sunday, May 9. Participants would learn about existing applications in our ecosystem, including Paras, Mintbase, Flux, Sputnik DAO, MintGate, Berry Club, NEAR.fm, Collab.Land, Nearfolio, etc. Also, they might build their own platforms!

Specifically, our vision of success:

  • 500+ registered participants
  • 100+ Sputnik DAOs created
  • 50+ devs building on testnet
  • 10+ councils reviewing proposals
  • 2-3 new apps on mainnet

Amount: $15,000

Our plan is changing to align with the timeline for Mintbase launching on NEAR, later in April or May.

Registration page is open! Copy/message is still being cleaned up so it’s not being heavily blasted yet. People can find it via browsing hackathons on gitcoin:
