[PROPOSAL] Funding request for ETH Milan 2023 - Marma J Foundation
Objectives
The Marma J Foundation seeks to expand our reach and enhance our initiatives at the ETH Milan conference. Our main objective is to bring our two major projects, Marma J Gaming and MarmaJchan, to a global audience.

Marma J Gaming: Our vision for Marma J Gaming is to educate and onboard gamers and game developers into the Web3 sphere by providing the tools and resources to gain life skills through play. At the ETH Milan conference, we aim to engage artists to create unique art on Pixel Party, a NEAR-based game. This concept was successfully showcased earlier this year for the Marma J Social Good DAO’s Pixel Party Easter Event. Click here to see the approved proposal. We intend to commission artists to create unique art pieces prior to the conference, with the final pieces showcased as a widget on the NEAR BOS, bridging the gap between art and gaming in the Web3 space.

MarmaJchan DAO: The MarmaJchan DAO is the official creative and marketing branch of the Marma J Foundation. MarmaJchan is the Marma J Foundation’s official mascot, and is an embodiment of the creativity and spirit of the Marma J Foundation. For ETH Milan, we aim to leverage the completed (prior to ETH Milan) VRM (Virtual Reality Modeling) project of MarmaJchan, an initiative approved by the Creatives DAO. We intend to create a comic series featuring the VRM model during the conference, minted as NFTs to support the artists involved. This will act as an educational tool that will showcase the power of artist collaboration on NEAR.

Chloe (Founder, Marma J Foundation): @chloe will represent Marma J Gaming at the conference. Her primary role will be to commission artists for the Pixel Party project and to foster social good through Web3 games, and then showcase the results.

Bianca (Creative Director, Marma J Foundation): @bianca will represent the MarmaJchan DAO. She will lead the initiative of creating a comic series featuring the VRM model of MarmaJchan and engage with other creatives at the conference.
Impacts
Our participation in ETH Milan will not only promote international collaboration among artists through Pixel Party and MarmaJchan comic series, but it will also provide an engaging, fun, and accessible way for artists to interact with blockchain technology and onboard to NEAR.
We expect that international involvement in these projects will increase global awareness of our foundation and initiatives, inspiring more artists to join the Web3 sphere and contribute to Creatives DAO initiatives.
Flight Cost
The total flight cost for both participants to Milan is $2106.00, with $1053.00 per person. We seek the Creatives DAO’s support in covering these expenses, enabling our active participation at the ETH Milan conference.
We strongly believe that our attendance at the conference will not only advance our projects but also foster a sense of international collaboration within the Creatives DAO and the wider blockchain community.
