- DAO introduction
The Filipino Artist DAO focuses on web3 creatives who focus on helping Filipino artists, technologists, and enthusiasts who are interested in exploring the potential of blockchain technology for creative expression. Our members have a diverse range of skills and backgrounds but they share a common vision of building on Near.
Overall, our community is going to focus on web3 arts to create a supportive and collaborative ecosystem that empowers artists and creatives to explore the potential of decentralized apps (dAps) for creative expression. By leveraging the power of blockchain networks, the community can promote greater transparency, fairness, and inclusivity in the creative economy, while also creating new opportunities for innovation and experimentation in the arts.

Team Members:
@gmachines (guaschingmachines.near) is a self taught pixel artist who’s been in the Near ecosystem for over a year, before I have been a council member, He have handled the moderation of the guild and has been contributing in different projects before as a social media manager, community moderator, and admin team. Aside from developing new initiatives for the guild in both irl and virtual space, he also host the twitter spaces for our AMA and community initiatives.
@quiapogi.near (quiapogi.near) is an artist, one of the social media manager/community managers. Been here in the ecosystem for almost a year now, started as an active community before getting elected as a council. Helps on creating and organizing an initiative for the community.
@midofrbs (mido4bs.near) is a researcher and moderator in the guild before becoming a council member. She helps in accommodation of new artists from zero to hero (onboarding) on Near. Hosts twitter spaces to help our artists to have more confidence in shilling their NFT projects. Also the go-to person when partnering with different NFT projects for whitelists, giveaways, and cross-dao collaborations.
@maryrazel.near (maryrazel.near) is one of the councils that helps in managing the DAO’s social media account, specifically in Facebook, and also helps in proposal and report writing. Started as an NFT artist, who has been on Near ecosystem for a year. Along with Mido, she’s also the go-to person for NFT partnerships and cross-dao collaborations.
@saii (saii.near) is an artist who also manages social media and contributes to planning. Saii has been active in the NEAR community for almost two years as a member, NFT artist, collector, and moderator. Possesses marketing and advertising experience and has been making an effort to introduce members and artists to the NEAR community.
@runesofuttoria (runesofuttoria.near) is an artists as well. He’s in-charge of the artist workshops as a mentor. He also contributes to planning, and helps in graphic designing for the DAO’s social media accounts.
The Filipino Artist Guild has been in the ecosystem for a year and we have been creating value beyond our means as a community in Near. We have established deep connections with our members and have collaborated with different DAO’s, NFT projects, organized virtual and IRL events under Creatives and Near.
As a creative guild, we have developed ways on how we can create engagement in the community to promote adoption and creativity through different events that we had in the past that have helped countless members promote their arts and know more about the beauty of web3 especially in Near. We have also presented them different kinds of opportunities to showcase their talent and help them be connected through different DAO’s under Near that further served them opportunities to nourish their careers.
To sum it up, we believe that we are worthy of funding as we always ensure that we bring value, creativity, and decentralization every step of the way in our Near journey.

II. PROPOSAL
We are excited to announce our partnership with WACOM for several prominent events, including Icon Manila: Animation Conference, Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit (ESGS), and Animahenasyon. These events cater to a diverse audience, encompassing gamers, developers, enthusiasts, and artists active in the web2 space. This collaboration presents an excellent opportunity to showcase and advocate for NEAR and Web3 technologies.
Our participation in these events will allow us to engage with a wide-ranging community of individuals deeply invested in Web2 applications and content creation. By introducing NEAR and Web3 to this audience, we aim to highlight the transformative potential of decentralized technologies and their role in shaping the future of the Internet.
Through interactive presentations, workshops, and engaging discussions, we will demonstrate how NEAR’s blockchain platform and the principles of Web3 can enhance and revolutionize the online experiences of gamers, developers, and artists. These events will serve as a crucial platform for fostering awareness and adoption of NEAR and Web3, ultimately contributing to the growth and evolution of the decentralized web ecosystem.

The collaboration with WACOM for prominent events represents a significant facet of our engagement strategy within the Filipino Artist Guild (FAG). Free Workshops and Skill Development:
The Filipino Artist DAO prides itself on offering a spectrum of free workshops aimed at honing the skills and talents of our community members. These workshops serve as platforms for continuous learning, ensuring artists stay updated with evolving trends and technologies within the creative realm.
Alpha Calls and Collaboration Opportunities:
Through regular alpha calls, we facilitate a collaborative environment where artists can converge, share insights, and collaborate on projects. This initiative cultivates a sense of camaraderie, promoting knowledge exchange and collective growth within the artistic community.
Sponsored Events and Partnerships:
Our involvement in sponsored events is part of a broader partnership strategy. We actively seek partnerships and sponsorships to enhance our community’s exposure to diverse opportunities. These partnerships open doors to events, competitions, and exhibitions, enabling our artists to showcase their work on larger platforms.
Because of our partnership with Tambay NFT Community, we are able to secure tickets for Philippine Blockchain Week from September 19 to 21 where the Premium ticket cost is 28,000 pesos or 500 USD.
Aside from these partnerships, this event has given us more opportunities for more interaction and potential partnerships that we are currently nurturing and we are hoping that it will create a more sustainable result for us so we can properly establish a bigger user base of Near in the Philippines.
Mentorship Programs:
To foster a culture of mentorship and guidance, the DAO has instituted mentorship programs. Accomplished artists within the community extend their expertise to budding talents, providing invaluable insights and assisting in their artistic development.
Digital Asset Ownership Advocacy:
In line with the principles of Web3 and decentralization, we advocate for digital asset ownership and the utilization of blockchain technology. Educating our community about the benefits of decentralized platforms like NEAR is a core initiative aimed at empowering artists in the digital space.
The Filipino Artist DAO’s commitment extends beyond singular events, forming an integrated approach that encompasses continuous skill development, collaborative opportunities, mentorship, and advocacy for innovative technologies.
