**I. BACKGROUND INFORMATION
•DAO introduction
The Filipino Artist Guild is a DAO that focuses on web3 creatives who focus on helping Filipino artists, technologists, and enthusiasts who are interested in exploring the potential of blockchain technology for creative expression. Our members have a diverse range of skills and backgrounds but they share a common vision of building on Near.
Overall, our community is going to focus on web3 arts to create a supportive and collaborative ecosystem that empowers artists and creatives to explore the potential of decentralized apps (dAps) for creative expression. By leveraging the power of blockchain networks, the community can promote greater transparency, fairness, and inclusivity in the creative economy, while also creating new opportunities for innovation and experimentation in the arts.
Team Background
@gmachines (guaschingmachines.near) - is a self taught pixel artist who’s been in the Near ecosystem for over a year, before I have been a council member, I have handled the moderation of the guild and has been contributing in different projects before as a social media manager, community moderator, and admin team. Aside from developing new initiatives for the guild in both irl and virtual space, I also host the twitter spaces for our AMA and community initiatives.
@quiapogi.near (quiapogi.near) - an artist, one of the social media manager/community managers. Been here in the ecosystem for almost a year now, started as an active community before getting elected as a council. Helps on creating and organizing an initiative for the community.
@midofrbs (mido4bs.near) - is a researcher and moderator in the guild before becoming a council member. She helps in accommodation of new artists from zero to hero (onboarding) on Near. Hosts twitter spaces to help our artists to have more confidence in shilling their NFT projects. Also the go-to person when partnering with different NFT projects for whitelists, giveaways, and cross-dao collaborations.
@maryrazel.near (maryrazel.near) - is one of the councils that helps in managing the DAO’s social media account, specifically in Facebook, and also helps in proposal and report writing. Started as an NFT artist, who has been on Near ecosystem for a year. Along with Mido, she’s also the go-to person for NFT partnerships and cross-dao collaborations.

II. Proposal
Project 1
Description:
The Filipino Artist Guild is a community of Filipino artists who work together to promote their artwork and support each other’s creative endeavors. In line with this, we are having a collaborative art contest. This event aims to:
• onboard new artists and;
• promote web3 art/contest, NFT, Near Protocol, and Near Nft marketplaces such as Mintbase and Paras and the like.
• promote collaborative work among the artist/community
Expected outcome:
• Onboard new wallets/artists
• Near DApps interaction; we will be incorporating astroDAO into the voting system, and we will be using Near Social as one of the platforms where the participants must post their entries — this will lead to more users in Near Social, DApps such as Paras will be used to mint the winning entries, and we will also be using Mintbase and 3xr for a virtual exhibit.
Activities & timelines:
Mechanics:
• Each team will need to have 3-5 members.
• At least 1 - 2 members should be from outside the community
• Each team should also be able to onboard all members and an additional 10 referrals to be verified in I-am-Human.
• Each team will have to onboard said member/s to NEAR
• This is a 2 weeks event to be held in August 2023.
• Participants must finish and submit their entries before the given deadline
• Official entries will be posted the day after the deadline
• The voting process will start once we collected all entries

Project 2: Additional Funding Allocation for the IRL Event with XOVOX Labs
Description:
The PGDX (Philippine Game Development Expo) is an exciting event for gaming development in the Philippines. Being part of such an event can indeed be a significant opportunity, especially in the context of web3, which refers to the next generation of the internet that incorporates blockchain technology, decentralized applications (DApps), and digital assets.
Attending PGDX can provide us with several benefits and opportunities in the web3 space. Here are a few reasons why being part of the event can be valuable for onboarding in web3:
• Networking: PGDX brings together professionals, experts, and enthusiasts from the gaming and development industry. This provides an excellent opportunity for networking, connecting with like-minded individuals, and potentially forming partnerships or collaborations in the web3 space.
• Learning: The event likely features workshops, panels, and talks by industry experts who can share their knowledge and insights into web3 development. Attending these sessions can help you gain a deeper understanding of web3 technologies, trends, and best practices.

Activities & timelines:
• At the said event, they would have to create a NEAR wallet and receive a ticket for each one, granting them a spin at our roulette wheel where they can win prizes. It’s an easy-to-play game that ensures a seamless onboarding process.
• We will also have our merchandise on the booth that includes apparel limited-edition collectibles, and our selection of wonderful NFT arts.
• We are going to onboard using NEARnames or Keypom.
• Once they are done creating wallets, we are also going invite them to be verified through I am Human and each verified person will have a raffle entry after they send the proof to our telegram group to establish a chain effect of them getting hooked to Near.

Project 3: Filipino Artist Guild Venturing Music in Web3
Description:
Introduction of Filipino musicians/rappers into Web3 under Near protocol in collaboration with Beat DAO
Expected outcome:
• Empowered Artists: The participating musicians and rappers will have a thorough understanding of Web3 technology and its potential applications in the music industry. They will be equipped with the necessary skills to protect their music through blockchain, explore new revenue streams, and build a sustainable career.
• Awareness: The event will create awareness among Filipino musicians/rappers regarding the benefits and opportunities offered by Web3 technology, leading to increased adoption and exploration of decentralized platforms. • Collaboration and Innovation: By bringing together artists from various music-related dao, the event will foster collaborations, inspire innovative ideas, and promote the growth of a vibrant music ecosystem within the Near community.
• Onboarding: Onboard at least 10 or more music artists or enthusiasts in the event.
Activities & timelines:
• 1st week of August
○ Onboard ten or more talented Filipino musicians and rappers onto the Near platform
• 2nd to 3rd week of August
○ Conduct a comprehensive workshop/AMA, led by Beat dao and Filipino Artist Guild councils, to introduce the participating artists to the principles and benefits of Web3 technology. The workshop will cover topics such as decentralized platforms, blockchain-based copyright protection, smart contracts for music licensing, and the potential for monetization through tokenization and NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens).
• 4th week of August ○ Immersion on Near: artists will receive hands-on training on using Near’s platform and associated tools, enabling them to independently manage their music, upload tracks securely, and market their work of art. They will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other artists within the Near ecosystem, fostering a vibrant creative community.
