Dear Community,
I have been thinking about a project for a few weeks now.
I did a report on the diversity of the NFT market on Near and more on the overall market, I noticed that a lot of projects look the same, few take risks, and a lot of P2E are actually OpenWorld. Am I the only one to feel an increased lack of competition in P2E? Video games have always been a source of competition when they allowed it, and a lot of the players really liked that, having that rivalry, that competition, having to fight and give it their all to deserve the title.
So I asked myself, why not combine NFT and cryptos with real game competitions?
For a few years, I’ve been running a French competitive Minecraft server, which has gathered thousands of unique players. We have proposed ranked seasons, tournaments, leagues, with various rewards (cosmetics, cash-prizes, etc). I want to make competition evolve on games that are far too underestimated in terms of competition potential like Minecraft. So I thought for several weeks about the best possible ways to achieve my goal, the idea of crypto-currencies and NFTs quickly came to mind.
So I linked two of my main skills, the knowledge of NFTs and cryptocurrencies as well as the knowledge of the community and the management of a server to realize my own project.
The concept of the project is simple, the creation of our own launcher, with integrated mods, the creation of our own infrastructure (servers for ranked, leagues, builds), the creation of a marketplace with certified artists for maps and cosmetics.
The project aims to be in partnership with important actors of the PVP and competitive Minecraft community, as well as cryptocurrency actors.
I have heard of the Near foundation grant system and am not really familiar with it. It would be great to be put in touch with people who can advise me on this because fundraising is very important to us. It would allow us to do an effective advertising campaign, to make great partnerships, as well as to offer attractive cash prizes.
Sincerely yours,
Shayyyn
