Introduction:
The NEKO Morning Show has been successfully running since its inception on TikTok. We have grown significantly and are now streaming across five different platforms. In addition we added Spotify as well for this month (experimental).
This report presents a summary of the funding we received for the month of September, with the show airing twice a week.
Objective:
The primary goal of the NEKO Morning Show is to onboard new users to the NEAR Protocol and educate both new and existing users about NEAR and dApps. This is achieved through a live show streamed on multiple platforms simultaneously, ensuring a global reach to both web2 and web3 audiences worldwide.
The show’s interactive format, with face-to-face interactions and live video feedback, has built trust between the hosts and our audience, resulting in a more engaging and enjoyable experience compared to a standard Twitter space.
Furthermore, our outreach efforts have paid off, and we are proud to be recognized as one of the top podcast shows within the NEAR Protocol community.
In September, our focus was on aligning the show’s objectives with (KPIs) provided by the Marketing DAO for the month

Educating about NDC governance through a series of events featuring multiple NDC nominees. Throughout the show we focused on, we demonstrated live voting processes with screen sharing. Throughout the show we focused on providing comprehensive information about the election, candidates, important dates, and explanations of the various roles within the organization. Additionally, we facilitated debates on ways in which the NDC can improve in the future and encouraged greater community involvement.

We hosted developers within the NEAR ecosystem, including Joe from the ShardDog team. During our discussions, we covered topics such as the NDC and its nominees, the Blockchain Operating System (BOS), and the potential for
ShardDog to build on the BOS. Additionally, we explored ShardDog’s future plans and goals.
- ShardDog claims were provided for NEKO Morning Show episodes. Furthermore, we offered comprehensive explanations about dApps and staking within the NEAR ecosystem, with a special focus on projects like Metapool, Octopus Network, and Jumpdefi, along with their staking features. To facilitate hands-on experience, we distributed some of the platform’s tokens, enabling users to stake them and discover the seamless, fast, and easy staking process on the NEAR blockchain. We conducted live demonstrations with screen sharing to illustrate how to interact with these dApps and others within the NEAR ecosystem.During one episode, we had Sheldon dearr as a guest who guided us through Octopus, offering a real-time demonstration to our viewers. These efforts proved highly beneficial for both new and existing users, providing them with insights into various dApps within the NEAR ecosystem and teaching them how to stake tokens and earn yields.
Results and Impact:
Throughout the show’s second season, our main focus centered on educating viewers about the Blockchain Operating System (BOS) and the NDC.
We witnessed a notable surge in both active users and transaction volumes, alongside significant improvements in on-chain onboarding, on-chain engagement, and on-chain participation within ecosystem dApps. Our commitment to educating viewers and the community about the NDC and BOS played a pivotal role in achieving these results. Furthermore, we had the privilege of hosting esteemed developers from the NEAR ecosystem, including Joe, Sheldon, and Chloe from Marma J, who shared their insights on BOS and NDC.
In an effort to foster future expansion, we also welcomed a developer from outside the NEAR ecosystem to introduce them to the benefits of BOS."
How did we determine this achievement and impact?
The NEKO Morning Show offers wide range of benefits that helped us achieve our results & impacts Such as:

Screen sharing and live demonstrations of the dApps and websites we discussed, we were able to offer real-time tutorials to new users on how to interact with these applications, access the websites, and also understand the voting process.

QR codes and links were provided for all the sites and dApps featured in each episode of the show, allowing both live viewers and past viewers to access these dApps quickly, safely, and with ease

Consistently updated tickers and captions for each episode of the show serve as effective reminders for viewers regarding important news, the BOS, and the NDC election dates. This consistent highlighting during each episode of the show helps both new and existing viewers stay updated on the latest developments within the NEAR Ecosystem, enabling them to catch up quickly.

Twitch:
Twitch has shown noticeable improvement since our last report. We have successfully achieved nearly all of our milestones and are on the path to becoming an affiliate on Twitch.
We don’t have extensive data to report for Twitch, but one notable milestone we’ve reached is garnering 102 followers, which puts us on the path towards achieving affiliate status. We recognize the potential of Twitch as a key platform for our outreach efforts, aligning with our objective of reaching a global audience. While Twitch is traditionally associated with gaming and in-real-life streams, it also presents a promising avenue for promoting web3 games on the NEAR Protocol, both now and in the future. We are actively preparing for this.
Kick:
Kick is currently our least established platform, as it’s relatively new in the streaming scene. However, it serves a similar purpose to Twitch and has the potential to reach a broader audience. We understand the possibilities that Kick offers and are committed to maximizing its potential. We’ll continue to focus on Kick and aim to achieve its milestones by the next month. Currently, we have 28 followers on Kick.

- The viewership data for Twitter indicates that there was only one show with no recorded views on 09/15/23. This occurred due to a technical issue where our streaming platform failed to sync with Twitter for a live broadcast. Consequently, we had to upload a pre-recorded podcast, which generated views for impressions but not for the show itself.
The Twitter average and total views were divided into 7 shows instead of 8. However, when calculating the overall KPIs views across all platforms, the show with no views was included and counted as 0.

NEKOMorningShow on Spotify and Spotify Podcast have no recordings as it’s a new platform for us. We are still in the learning phase, figuring out the best strategies to optimize our podcast’s presence there. Given the TLDR format, we’ve been rewatching pre-recorded podcasts and extracting only the essential content for uploading. This has consumed a significant amount of time, especially with our small team of just two people, Soos and Nono. Nevertheless, we are actively studying the best approach, and we aim to have it fully prepared as one of our primary platforms by next month.

Impressions are derived solely from the Morning Show podcast link. We engaged our viewers through interactive tasks, leading them to create tweets, NDC, NEAR Protocol-related topics, memes, and more. We utilized hashtags like #NEKOMorningShow #NEARISNOW #NEARISBOS ndc, resulting in numerous engaging tweets and impressions.

Expanding to Spotify and Spotify Podcast will provide significant value by reaching a broader audience, including those who cannot join our live show or watch it later. Offering TLDR options in both audio and video formats will certainly cater to many people’s preferences. Moreover, it adds to the choices available for our viewers, allowing them to select their preferred format—audio or video—for either the TLDR or the full podcast.

The funding we received has empowered us to produce high-quality podcasts, develop interactive tasks, upgrade our setup, and elevate the overall content quality delivered by both hosts. Not all of the funding we receive is allocated to host compensation; our primary goal is consistently to enhance and improve our setup and podcast quality. These improvements will be evident in our upcoming podcasts as we continue to scale up and enhance our production.

Based on the KPIs outlined in the report and our innovative approach to the show, we can confidently say that we have achieved the MDAO KPIs for the month of September. Our use of interactive tasks, high-profile guests, and the tools at our disposal have enabled us to effectively manage and attain these objectives.
