January was a really amazing month! We have strengthened our team and also launched a new direction - Public Degens. We have improved some of our metrics by more than 100%, and also created a base for official partnerships with our Degen DAO.
What was done in January?
The increase of the NDC Degens Main Team.
We announced the increase of our team and the search for talent in early January:

Candidates had to fill out a form and then be interviewed to get more detailed information about their skills, experience and desire to work in the Near Protocol ecosystem.
In 4 days, we received about 90 new candidates, conducted more than 50 text interviews and selected the top 25 candidates, among whom we selected 4 new members of the NDC Degens Main Team.

From 10 active participants, we have increased our team to 14 true professionals and enthusiasts of the Near Protocol ecosystem.
Public Degens launch
On January 15, Public Degens was launched. This is an initiative aimed at all communities of the Near Protocol ecosystem. A widget has been created that allows us to track users who interact with Public Degens.

Increasing KPI’s
We increased the minimum and maximum KPI’s by 20% in January. Now the minimum threshold for participation in the NDC Degens main team is
“Active in Twitter (>36k impressions, min number of posts 50) + 1 direction” - TLS3
And the maximum one looks like this:
“Active on Twitter (>108k impressions, minimum number of posts 30)” - TLS1
Thus, we achieved a significant increase in the metrics for January.
Directions report
Since the budget and team were increased, we were able to more than double statistics in our main direction. After conducting interviews with potential members, the 4 best candidates were found, who perfectly joined the team and helped achieve new records together.
The effect of increasing the team was really impressive, we were able to achieve great success in this direction, increasing the metrics by an average of 150%

Content
This direction has undergone some changes. We considered only threads, infographics, articles and other content that is original and created exclusively by NDC Degens.
The quality and quantity of content has increased significantly. The participants of the direction try to improve their professional skills every month.
Unfortunately, our Reddit team has faced a huge number of bans this month. We are trying to find an approach to Reddit moderation. Perhaps we will suspend this direction for a while until we find a solution to this problem.
Working with projects, developers, and ecosystems
We have done a lot of work to draw attention to the Near Protocol ecosystem among influencers, projects and ecosystems.

Targeting
The group currently consists of 6 people and is focused on popularizing the near ecosystem among crypto bloggers by influencing their communities (YT comments, Twitter comments, Twitter mentions).
Thanks to the Targeting subgroup, organic interest in the Near Ecosystem increases, because all comments and mentions are extremely informative and describe many positive technical and social points that can be used not only by bloggers for their videos (often our comments receive a response like “thanks for the detailed information, I will definitely do content in the near future"), as well as ordinary subscribers who often read comments under interesting videos.
The daily activity of this subgroup has brought excellent results.
In January, this subgroup showed excellent results. Thanks to our activities, 12 separate videos about the Near Ecosystem were made on Youtube. We focused on interacting with bloggers by talking about the benefits of Near blockchain and a monthly agenda that covers the social needs of ecosystem projects.
In January we received a lot of positive feedback from new bloggers. They promised to study the Near Ecosystem better in the future and make informational videos

Public Degens funds have not been distributed yet, we are deciding whether to extend the first wave of the initiative for another month. We will explain this in our February Proposal.
Conclusion
We have fulfilled all the goals that we planned for January.Now we are ready for even greater achievements and partnerships in the Near Protocol ecosystem projects.
