Our new Incubadora - artists Mintbase Store is now featuring the artworks by Manuela Romeiro and Amanda Silva. We have been in conversations with several artists and we expect to expand the number of artworks displayed soon

Incubadora Vertical supported three projects in March: Travel Podcast, Kawa Kami CUBA SHOTS and Exhibition POSTAL - Urban Portraits of Immigration, which resulted in our first curated exhibition in a custom gallery in the 3xR

The artist Juliana Matsumura finished her on-site artist residency in Casarão do Chá in São Paulo and the virtual version of her Kawa-Kami project is about to be launched. Her last report is available here and here

We started conversations with the Philosophers DAO in order to build a partnership. Following it up, we were able to discuss the possibility to start a project combining funds from the two DAOs in order to establish a monthly discussion around art, technology and philosophy
Highlights:
- “Poéticas Digitais” was the 4th Seminar held by Incubadoras’s educational project, an NFT Workshop with the artist Eduardo Politzer & the art colective Coletivo Amarelo. The seminar was a real success, we had more than 80 subscribers with several subscriptions from Portuguese-speaking countries in Africa. The video of the initiative will soon be displayed in our YouTube channel

We launched the 4th edition of our Artist Stipend Program in partnership with Cosmia DAO and had 26 applicants for the Portuguese language. As it was our first stipend focused on writers, we consider the number of applicants a true success. We can’t wait to announce the awarded artists soon

We finished the second month of our 3rd Artist Stipend Program and the rewarded artists JoĂŁo Saiote, Leonardo Gonçalves e LĂgia Fernandes are about to submit their reports. As Francisca Sousa did not request her prize, the council deliberated that her part must be used to support another artist

Tiago Costa and Jessica Burrinha were the featured artists in the continuation of our Artist Interviews by CUDO x Incubadora called “CUBA SHOTS” a project that portrays artists in the contexts of their daily life and work. The final videoS will soon be displayed on our YouTube channel. Our pilot episode of Manu Romeiro, already has almost 1k views

- We produced educational content in partnership with CUDO. The result was four new tutorials in our YouTube channel, teaching how to apply for our stipends, how to create a custom gallery on the 3XR, how to create an NFT on Mintbse and a refreshed version of our tutorial on how to create your NEAR wallet. The content is in Portuguese with English subtitles and has been useful for different people inside and outside our community
Learnings:

Launching stipends more focused on one artistic expression, such as writing for example, improved the adhesion and communication of this activity. Educational materials also play a key role here. Our video on how to apply for our stipend already had more than 50 views on YouTube

Incubadora is growing, so It has become more clear how important is to have a more balanced budget that allows us to both invest in the sustainability of our DAO and develop more projects

Reaching the next level with CUBA SHOTS in partnership with CUDO, making it a consistent and monthly project

Communicating and supporting the four winners of the Artist Stipend Program 4th Open Call

Preparing and running the next Incubadora’s seminar

Keep reflecting on how to become more financially sustainable, investing on DeFi solutions to increase the DAO resilience and searching for legal solutions for the future of our DAO

Reorganizing our council activities and funding in order to work in a more organic way

Invest in a monthly virtual exhibition program, creating partnerships and strong connections with our fellow partners in the 3xR
