Our mission:

Raiz is building the farms of the future. We are growing local and healthy crops in a sustainable manner through a network of vertical farms in city centers.

Merging the physical and digital world through blockchain is a natural progression of the current food supply chain.

Why NEAR & Mintbase?

We believe in the power of decentralization and technology to bring about change and progress in a way that doesn’t hurt the environment. NEAR and Mintbase allow us to do just that.

Through our integration with NEAR, veggies will be able to be transacted with NEAR and we’ll create collectible digital versions of the rare plants we grow to be minted through Mintbase.

Digital art and PlaNFTs

Through this bounty, we aim to find great artists for us to develop Plant NFT (Planfts).

At this stage, we aim to create our first NFT, showcasing red and green basil plants through the different stages of their growth. This NFT will be equivalent to the plants we grow across the lifetime value of our system and will eventually represent sustainability metrics for each plant.

We believe in art as an all-encompassing force of creation and aim to include it all throughout our growing process. You can help us give more life to Raiz!

In order to merge our physical and digital world, we are looking for a digital artist that identifies with the principles of circularity, sustainability, and technology.

Our vision in regards to Mintbase and NFTs

Each NFT will represent a space in the hydroponic system, which in turn becomes a positive impact on the environment thanks to the plants produced in it.

By launching this new kind of NFTs, we will allow the community & investors to own part of the farm, and to hold it as a commitment to sustainability.

In the future, we’ll develop NFTs with diverse functionalities linked to each rare plant species we grow and to different systems and processes.

This will be the first of other initiatives including more complex NFT functionalities such as generating revenue from future harvests and owning part of the hydroponic systems.

What we ask:

300€ in NEAR for the artists
6.5 NEAR for the Mintbase store

Budget delimitation

• 300€ (100€ for 3 artists ) to create digital artwork showcasing our red basil
• Onboarding people on Near (if possible) - a little amount to distribute amongst partners and/or clients to open NEAR accounts in our ecosystem
• 6.5 NEAR to open the Mintbase store.

Proposal

• Base: 100€ available for 3 artists.
• Plus all the collaborators will receive split royalties from the NFT sales (% to be defined).

If you are an artist with a significant following/portfolio/community, let us know, and we can discuss a different amount for this bounty.

Hello @marianeu, thank you for the comment! When we opened our team’s NEAR accounts at our onboarding, there was already a few near in them or were sent immediately afterwards, and this definitively helped increasing interest, adoption and understanding. We saw it as a useful strategy to gain adoption among interested people and that’s the reason to ask for it!

We were thinking of giving 5 Near each, which is the smaller amount we received when onboarding! (some of us got 5 and some of us got a bit more).

As for minting in another store, we would kindly ask your advice and guidance! We’re looking for it to be deployed in the mintbase store we open for this project.

We will happily set you up with your store (6,5 N), give you some near (0,5) to mint and pay the three artists when you tag them here
Onboarding money is not really a thing on mintbase.
We can not pay for the store, and then give people the money to buy the things on your store. That is not how this works here… I don’t know where you were onboarded and got 5 or 8 near each… This is just not what we do right now. We had onboarding funds for the wilde moehre festival, but this was just a whole different setting

We can offer you to give you 5 Near to start with, which you can sell at the venue to people who want to buy near at that moment. Please consider that we need accountability, we will check who the near is sent to and if they have logged in on mintbase and bought something with it.

To the bounty launchers:
On another note - we will be able to give out onboarding funds. How much exactly needs to be thought about. Do you think 30x 0,3N would be a good start? Do you think you will have time at the event (the real life event you told me about on the call) to teach people on how to use mintbase, set up a store, etc? Or will it just be an incentive to create a wallet? We can also think about giving out 0,3 N, and then giving you (lucia and emiliano) some near to SELL at the venue. Let’s say someone wants to buy one of your NFTs and has no access to NEAR. You could sell them some Show them how easy it is to move funds around with the near wallet…

As for the bounty launchers:

2. For this event, it will be just an incentive to create the wallet, since the event focus for that day is another. If someone does wanna buy an NFT and has no access to Near we could sell it, but it won’t be the main objective.
