Campaign Bounties
Marketing DAO campaign bounties are offered to ecosystem content creators for the purpose of creating original content driving wide awareness of topics from the editorial calendar. We welcome suggestions for topics via the Marketing DAO HUB on Telegram or via email marketingdao@proton.me.
Standard requirements for campaigns. Content deliverable must:
- Deploy to a specific target audience via a core platform that will be the main source for metrics/tracking. This core platform must demonstrate a specific target audience that is engaged on the platform. Before approving bounty work, the council is likely to ask for your Average Engagement Score using the formula:
- (Total Likes, Shares & Comments / Total Followers) X 100 = AER %
- Leverage the content creator’s unique voice, skills and point of view to engage and provide valuable, original informational content to the audience. The format of the deliverable is open. Examples of content on a core platform include:
- Podcast/video podcast
- Blog article, listicle, guide or roundup
- YouTube video
- AMA event
- Interview with an expert, influencer or notable person
- Mention of support from NEAR ecosystem community fund via the Marketing DAO (necessary to include NEAR and MDAO logos on visual promo)
- Efforts to promote the campaign throughout the time period specified on the editorial calendar. We hope content creators will continue to promote and share their content after the timeline has passed, but we will use the timeline to evaluate and review metrics resulting from the campaign period.
- Demonstrate an effort to reach audiences outside the ecosystem within the campaign. How you accomplish this is intentionally flexible, as platforms and content creator approaches differ. For reference, some typical examples of a demonstrated effort can include:
- Creating content that @mentions influential people and entities outside the ecosystem like a Twitter thread that references and tags accounts who may genuinely be interested in NEAR news but lack visibility into the ecosystem.
- Cross-collaborations with content creators whose audiences may be interested in the NEAR ecosystem, including:
- Being on each other’s podcasts, shows, AMAs, livestreams, etc., as guests
- Co-hosting a podcast, show, AMA, livestream with a collaborator outside the ecosystem and publishing it on both of your platforms
- Interviewing, profiling or featuring other creators on your platform and asking them to share the content with their audiences
- Creating “Joint Venture” content (AMAs, podcast, webinar/virtual event) that both audiences can benefit from and promoting it together
- Guest contributor opportunities, e.g. guest blogging, social media platform
“Takeover” day or week on another platform - Participate in an event with a target audience similar to yours (e.g. a dev group outside the ecosystem, a women in web3 group outside the ecosystem)
- Share the campaign content with web3 media, journalists, newsletters or other platforms that publish content for a more general web3 audience
- Include a call to action (CTA) that incentivizes on-chain activity or sign up/participation with a NEAR ecosystem project. The CTS must include a trackable element (i.e. short link/bitly) issued by Marketing DAO so we can view performance.
- Track the performance of this CTA to show how your project or content led to new on-chain activity or participation in the ecosystem.
Process:
Note that we will update the process in real-time once the program is live in January.
- Request to claim a bounty via Heroes platform by submitting a brief outline of your campaign proposal that includes:
- Short content plan
- Core platform
- Proposed call to action
- Once approved, proceed to produce content following the guidelines below. Be aware of any important dates posted on the editorial calendar.
- Submit content via the Heroes platform
- Wait for approval
- Receive funding
POW (“Proof of Work”) Content Bounties
Marketing DAO will specify “proof of work” bounties that meet specific requirements (e.g. metrics or goals) and can be claimed by whitelisted content creators after they’ve produced the content. The content will be reviewed and approved by the Marketing DAO council before payment is issued.
At launch, we will offer the following 16 content bounties that directly address January topics listed on the Editorial Calendar.
- 4 Twitter spaces with more than 200 attendees
- 4 Twitter threads (4 tweet minimum) with more than 50 shares or comments
- 4 Video podcasts with more than 500 views on a single platform (e.g. YouTube)
- 4 articles featured on media platforms outside the ecosystem (i.e. TLDR Crypto, The Milk Road, HackerNoon, Forbes, etc.)
