Hi everyone,
This report aims to share with you achievements and challenges faced so far during November, also we are going to share with you what and how we are doing to make it right.
This is however one of which we can say we have achieved significant successes in on-chain and onboarding new members to the ecosystem. Our KPI is about to hit the target considering the activities so far and what we are anticipating with the plans on the ground.
Like always our social activities and engagements are made solemnly organic from the strong and active community. Our Devs have embarked on building components and apps on #BOS, and we realize that our community finds it appealing to interact near.social, that’s why we are planning to move 80% of our engagement to near.social which so far shows tremendous growth.

Our team:
We have two sessions a week on our telegram dedicated to educating members about blockchain, and how it is relatable to the near ecosystem and also use that as a tool to onboard new members and educate existing members on how to interact with the #BOS
We have hosted a #BOS Dev Workshop with some of our Devs this is to onboard new Devs and educate non-Devs on some technical aspects of the #BOS. Our community is more focused on builders and creators, as mentioned in our previous reports, we have successfully onboarded more Devs to the ecosystem.
Over 40 Devs that have participated in the #KanoIsBOS Hackathon are our onboarded Devs of course is a huge success for us and the ecosystem. Most of these Devs are web2 devs and are now ready to make the next step of building on the #BOS, of course, another challenge would give them more energy and morale, this can be a recommendation for another hackathon maybe quarterly.
In our efforts to build a more organic and active community after our weekly session in the telegram group (twice a week), we employ a strategy to make our community more familiar to the Near.social, by using two mechanisms:
- Weekly contest; we reward some community members by creating an educating article/post in Hausa so that other community members can benefit from it. Meme Contest, we engage them to create meme content for fun about a current event in
the ecosystem.
Some ongoing and past contests:
- Community Member of the Week: We reward 1 most active member of the community, for all the activities and engagement on our near social as well as on his profile.

These two activities have driven more traffic to the near social organic activities by real users.
The SUCCESS
- The biggest Success we have recorded is transiting over 40 Web2 Devs to Web3 guiding them to build on #BOS and Participating in the recently concluded #KanoIsBOS Hackathon.
A WhatsApp Group showing the numbers of BOS Devs we currently have together with NHC Team.
- Near Social engagements: as far as we are concerned, NEAR HAUSA is the most active regional community in the near social and has more posts and on-chain engagements.
This is archived by organizing quizzes and contests in Hausa for our community to participate in; over 40+ submissions are recorded for the quizzes and contests. To make it educational to other not participating members, questions are aligned with educating members of the community about #BOS and #NEARSOCIAL.
We find this strategy impacting and working for us as a community to educate and onboard as well as transit them to on-chain. This is why we have planned to go on quizzes and meme contests once a week. We are trying to make this more fun in the future by adding to our community page lead board all activities on our Near social by the individual, the number of posts, likes, replies, quotes, post, and mention.
- After our #BOS Dev Workshop and Technical Workshop for Devs & Non-Devs we move forward by onboarding over 40 Web3 Devs and are happy to announce that they are now building on BOS.
Our Devs are not stopping here building more components that will be revealed after they are done.
- We had AMAs with two major trending projects on the ecosystem, mainly HERE Wallet, Moonshot, and Ottochain, even though Ottochain was delayed which was supposed to be last month.

The CHALLENGE
One of our biggest challenges is navigating through DMs and projects on the ecosystem, we hardly get replies and this is a setback to us as a team because we wanted our community to explore more and more on the ecosystem.
With these rich reports, I have doubled in next month as we are embarking on mainly on-chain and building reusable components on #BOS that can benefit the ecosystem and us as well.
