Hiring the Community

We accepted @beetlejuice’s proposal to be our wearable maker and minter. We also accepted @adrimobbs’s proposal in the marketing area and @caiosouto’s proposal on his famous Philosophical Conversations. We also made bounties for the community: for visual art, for papers, for scholarship, and for telegram stickers.

Updated Project Timeline

As we received the approval pretty late, we took some time to finish our projects, but they were all completed in time for sending the report and the proposal on the right day.

Highlights

We started by continuing the partnership with the Incubadora DAO, both in the creation of the TPD Seminars project and in the selection of topics of interest to both DAOs. We started the project by selecting the proposals sent by the Professors. Then, we grew the Telegram group for The Philosophers DAO Community (which now has 190 members, 74 more than the 116 members from last month). We are helping the members of the community to start submitting their proposals and to use the ecosystem (ref, binance, rainbow bridge, mintbase etc). The seminars, the scholarships, and the bounties were a real success, and they are helping to bring students and professors to our dao. All videos are now available on our YouTube channel. The visual art bounty is becoming known among the community and the quality of the arts are increasing.

Learnings

We improved the way we deal with the projects, and we started to think in a way for our voting system for choosing bounties to be fairer, for example, a member that is submitting to a bounty should not vote in the bounty.

Next Steps

Enable the construction of an app to gather activities (courses, games, social networks, libraries, events, etc.) for students and professors of Philosophy and related areas. Our objective is also to promote physical events in different Brazilian universities for students of different courses. We believe this will significantly increase engagement with The Philosophers DAO and the NEAR ecosystem.
