Description:
We are building a text-based, it’s in the style of like the 80s terminal-based games which take you through opening a wallet, making a transaction, using the explorer, minting an NFT, trying DeFi, etc. At the end of the game, the player will have created a mainnet wallet, minted a Ready Layer One NFT, and have a sense of what NEAR is and how to navigate it. It would work on mobile and desktop.
Progress:
We are very near (no pun intended) completion of the first version of the game. We had a couple of re-writes the past few months but we made a lot of progress. Here is an outline of what is completed:
- Domains & servers setup and running
- Visual design, in-game assets, and branding commissioned and completed (by a NEAR based 1/1 artist)
- Testnet version of the first level complete and going through testing now
- Second level being coded now
- Wrote custom APIs for wallet creation NFT creation using KeyPom which has spun out to its own product that will be another public good (https://shard.dog)
We are very excited to launch this in December and plan to continue development of more levels.
