I am pleased to share the April update, showcasing the accomplishments, obstacles, and initiatives carried out by regional guilds.

Funding Received: We received $51225 in $NEAR on 29 March 2024 through NDC Trust.

Achievements/Milestones
Project Objectives & KPIs: Widening Adoption of NEAR:
P-1.1: Outreach to New Audiences CoA priority
Continuous outreach to new audiences is the source of new community members and ideas. That’s why we believe this priority is a cornerstone for the NDC. There are many initiatives that fall into this category and we intentionally do not want to limit what is possible. However, here are some ideas that can be explored:

Activation of the protocol’s daily usage through gamification mechanics (for example, leaderboards).

Demonstration of NEAR to non-blockchain communities:
- TradFi apps seeking exposure to DeFi yield;
- Traditional software companies seeking to offload security and risk to blockchain;*
- AI/ML data provenance;*
- Social apps with data privacy requirements and possible network effects.

- Challenges: Our communities’ Twitter accounts are still suspended, and Near Foundation is actively engaged in the legal process to address this issue. We remain hopeful for a prompt resolution.
Detailed KPIs & Impact on Ecosystem

Wallet Creation and IAH Verification: A total of 716 wallets were onboarded in April, contributing to the expansion of our user base and ecosystem. These wallets were created during the online/offline events, partnerships & contests. Also, we don’t have exact data but we have started IAH verification in communities.

Online/Offline Events: In April, regional communities held 36 online/offline events to promote NEAR, share knowledge, and build connections. These events helped people learn new skills and come together as a community.

Partnerships with non-blockchain communities: Regional communities established 10 strategic partnerships with blockchain and non-blockchain entities, broadening our influence beyond the blockchain sphere. These collaborations encompass TradFi applications, conventional software firms, social platforms, AI/ML data integrity initiatives, and universities engaging with developers and IT students. Please note that, we would need legal and other required support in order to onboard these entities to NEAR.

NEAR ES partnerships with UNETI
UNETI is a pioneering university that is advancing training programs in the field of cryptocurrencies and establishing itself as the first university in the country to specialize in the study of blockchain and web3 technologies for developers and programmers. With campuses across Venezuela. -
Near Turkey partnerships with BlockchainSolutionsLab
BlockSolutionLab is an innovative blockchain technology company that develops sustainable and efficiency-driven solutions that are tailored to meet the needs of companies working in the web3 space or looking to do so. Their solutions are in line with the dynamics of the industry and are designed to help their clients achieve their goals. Block Solutions LAB has a rich history of growth and innovation in the field of Blockchain and artificial intelligence. -
NEAR VIETNAM DAO partner with YOUTH+
- Transactions Through Gamification and Other dApps: To increase dApp adoption, communities hosted engaging activities on Zealy and other platforms. These activities motivated users to explore various dApps on the NEAR platform, resulting in around 24K transactions within our ecosystem. This initiative not only facilitates broader NEAR adoption but also demonstrates the effectiveness of making activities enjoyable to attract more participants to the NEAR community.

How did we calculated this?

We asked all the community leaders to collect newly onboarded wallets from their community and to attach their pikespeak link in a sheet and write the number of transactions of each wallet. However, as we all know currently we don’t have any tracking dashboard. We councils personally checked a few random wallets from the list of each guild if the numbers are really true. Although, stats were correct but still we think it’s approx. numbers not the exact numbers. We believe there might be a 5-10% difference in these stats (can be lower or higher). Hopefully, we will have a dashboard soon for tracking so that we can track exact growth.

- Developer Training Sessions: 17 developer training sessions were held in April, providing communities with the knowledge and skills needed to create and innovate within the Near Protocol ecosystem. These sessions were designed to support aspiring developers in learning the essential skills and information required for building within the NEAR ecosystem. Our goal is to promote NEAR’s innovation and strengthen our community.

Social Media growth: In April, we achieved excellent overall statistics. These metrics demonstrate the increasing interest and awareness in empowering communities globally.
