I am Tatiana from vSelf - a digital identity solution that helps to create personal provenance and grow ethical data market. I want to share our progress since Human Guild kindly supported the vSelf initial proposal.
What is ready to be released:
For whom: DAOs, guilds, communities, events, online courses, etc. + individual users
Why: to increase engagement and provide kudos, poaps, or other NFT-certificates
How:
- service for easy onboarding
- web platform with NEAR authorization to set up NFT collections of rewards
- sharable linktree-like personal profile with NFT badges
- mobile app to collect NFTs from sets on the platform.
Long-term vision
Our digital life is dominated by big tech companies, which is convenient on the user experience level but leaves us with very low to no rights to our personal data and account. Users have to manage multiple profiles, and each of them can be censored or de-platformed. These issues can be resolved in the web3 space with the right incentives for users to start managing personal provenance.
In vSelf, we build an identity-as-Service platform with gamification where users can
manage personal data and certificates and choose which information to share with businesses and institutions. As the next step, we want to look at different derivative use cases that can utilize such web3 CVs: e.g., KYC, grant competitions, premium access. Besides, vSelf team designs an advanced toolbox for verifiable credentials, which includes different instruments for off- and on-chain scenarios, privacy-preserving mechanisms, and multichain support.
