[Report/mpDAO] Multichain Governance Workshops
We are glad to announce the activities carried out by Cripto Curiosas during the months of July, August, and September in a synchronous virtual format and in two languages.
This proposal aims to empower the Web3 community through a series of dynamic workshops focused on multichain governance. Through 2 workshops in English and one in Portuguese, we seek to deepen participants’ understanding of governance processes and practices across various blockchain networks. By collaborating with experts from Ethereum and NEAR, we ensure the inclusion of diverse perspectives and best practices. This initiative is essential for creating an informed and active community capable of addressing the challenges of governance in an increasingly complex and interconnected blockchain ecosystem.
Milestone 1: Planning of the Workshops and advertising for Workshop #1
The planning of the Workshops was carried out, the agenda for each of them was established, the structure of the scripts for the videos was defined, and the necessary material was created to promote Workshop #1.

Milestone #2: Development of Workshop #1
The first Workshop was a success, with 45 participants in the Meta Pool Discord
Here is a brief summary of what was covered:
During our first Workshop, we explored in depth the evolution of Meta Pool since its creation on August 23, 2021. Meta Pool DAO was founded with the objective of:
Providing liquid staking solutions.
Promoting transparency and participation through the ‘Meta Vote’ system and improvement proposals (MPips).
Characteristics of Multichain Governance:
Transparency: All activities and decisions are visible to all community members.
Decentralization: Decision-making power is distributed among all participants.
Data privacy: Users’ personal information is protected.
Sovereignty in decisions: Every member has a voice and vote in important decisions.
Governance tokens: Used for voting and making decisions in the DAO.
Smart contracts: Automated contracts that execute specific actions when certain conditions are met.
Benefits of Multichain Governance: In a preliminary analysis, we identified several key benefits:
Scalability: Ability to handle a larger number of transactions and users without compromising performance.
Interoperability: Seamless integration with various blockchains and systems.
Increased security: Protection against attacks and fraud through decentralization and cryptography.
Connection with diverse communities: Facilitates collaboration between different groups and networks.
Flexibility and innovation: Enables the implementation of new ideas and technologies quickly and efficiently.
Comparison between Off-chain and On-chain Governance:
We highlighted the fundamental differences between these two approaches:
In On-chain Governance, decisions are automated and recorded on the blockchain, ensuring transparency and an immutable record.
In Off-chain Governance, decisions are not recorded on the blockchain, which can lead to less transparency and security.
We had:
An incredible host, @Crisincrypto, whose eloquence and knowledge led the workshop in a smooth and amazing manner.
The founders of Meta Pool, @ccossio and @lucio_tato, who gladly answered users’ questions.
Additionally, we had the experts from @openwebacademy_
