Hello NEAR family.
At the end of October, the DAO Open Web Academy team made a proposal to run a series of 2 Buidl Days in Mexico, with the aim of adding new developers to the NEAR Protocol and actively promoting the use of the Blockchain Operating System and NEAR Social.
TL;DR
2 workshops held with universities about building widgets with BOS + 1 extra to run

This is the second part of a previous planning report that can be read here

The first day of construction took place in the western part of Mexico at the National Institute of Mexico (TECNM), in the city of Culiacán Sinaloa. The TECNM is characterized by being an institution oriented to the development of technological engineers and has opened the doors to us to carry out an intensive Blockchain Operating System workshop with its students within the framework of the educational day “National Science and Technology Week 2023”, in Students from the institution and attendees of the main event participated in this activity.

The second day of construction took place at the Technological University of Manzanillo (UTeM), in the city of Manzanillo Colima. UTeM is located in one of the most important seaports in the country, due to this geographical condition, the orientation of students is characterized by creating products that have traceability and that add value to the local supply chain. This created great interest and allowed for an interesting focus for the BOS workshop held for them.

- 2 diferetns cities using Near Social
- More stats about the participants
It is also important to mention that with the support of Shar.God we managed to have a quick incorporation tool for users who do not yet have a wallet that allows them to interact with the NEAR ecosystem, this also allowed us to have traceability of the people who were surrounded by Open Web Academy and their wallets to see future interactions. From this link you can check the number of people who began their journey in the NEAR world
Buidl Days at NEAR Social
In each workshop we teach, we seek for participants to have a complete experience knowing the potential of BOS. So each participant is voluntarily invited to share, through a post on near.social, their experience in the workshop they received. In this link you can see a list of the publications that were made about it
Next Steps
The interest of close people and friendly universities has been great, for this reason, from Open Web Academy we continue to give priority to the training of developers that allow the growth of ecosystems with new creations in BOS. For this reason and with extra funding received in the GG18 Gitcoin round, we have a third Buidl Day date to show BOS and its connection with other chains. This will soon be held at the Computing Research Center of the National Polytechnic Institute, the third best university in Mexico according to the rankings.
The session will be taught to master’s and higher education students to explore the option of combating Internet censorship through the Blockchain Operating System.
