Hello team NearGlobeDao!

NEAR Colombia is a comprehensive community that seeks to promote the adoption and knowledge of the NEAR Protocol blockchain within the communities that exist in the various Colombian regions. Our objective is to onboard people who are new and/or already participate in other blockchains with a strong presence in the country and in this way democratize access to web3 technologies, training different actors interested in NEAR technology, guiding them towards true decentralization, open source, open web and that it be used by enthusiasts, developers, educational centers, startups, artists, among others.

April E level achievement proposal for Near Colombia

I send this new proposal to the NEAR Colombia community. I have used Globe DAO NEAR Globe Community Charter June KPIs – Google Docs and set our goals accordingly.

Goals

Promote the use of NEAR in Colombia by educating the different existing populations in the country about blockchain and its benefits, creating content, holding virtual and in-person educational events and collaborating with different communities to promote the use of NEAR in Colombia. Also encouraging technical participation by attracting developers, creating projects and thus elevating the community to a sustainable and relevant future in the NEAR ecosystem that will make the blockchain and the community very visible, in addition to successfully meeting the Level E KPIs for NEAR Colombia

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Referral systems:

Create 15 new NEAR wallets.

• Engagement gamification mechanism:

Achieve an average of 7 transactions for 7 new wallets.

Grow to 15 active community members.

Achieve 3k impressions on Twitter.

1 video related to NEAR technology or community activities with at least 100 views per month.

• Demonstration NEAR to NON blockchain communities:

• Education of the local communities:

Publish 1 Medium content to share knowledge, updates or ideas about the NEAR ecosystem.

Organize 1 online event with at least 10 participants

Strategies and activities:

Channel diversification:
Massify content on Telegram and Twitter to reach a broader audience and Expand the reach on YouTube, Medium

Engaging and educational content:
Variety of formats: Implement infographics, memes, videos to maintain interest.
Simple and relatable language: Adapt the content to the Colombian target audience, using colloquial language and examples close to their reality.

Gamification: Incorporate activities, contests and trivia with rewards in NEAR blockchain tokens, memecoins, NFTs, games, to encourage participation in the diverse ecosystem of dapps

Rewards and benefits:
Incentive system: Implement a reward or badge system that rewards active participation in the community.
Tangible benefits: Offer access to airdrops, NFTs that represent a badge or relevance in the NEAR protocol for engaged users.

Events and workshops:
Hybrid format: Offer online and in-person events for greater accessibility

Measurement and Evaluation:
• Community growth with monitoring of active members, event attendees.
• Wallet and transaction metrics wallet creations and transactions.
• Content reach with Twitter impressions, video audience and Medium article readers.

Budget:

Hello Team,

Thank you for your proposal.

The initial start of Colombia was outstanding, but after that, I haven’t seen any significant growth in terms of community building. And as we all know about NDC’s current scenario, June is the last month with NDC for all DAOs, so we are opting for and prioritizing our top-performing communities, stopping all our experiments.

Nothing personal, but keeping everything in mind, I can’t support this proposal.

I’m really proud that Near Colombia is part of the Near ecosystem and have applied for funding from Globe DAO

But, unfortunately, this June, we’re forced to follow the NDC status that needs to be stopped. We’re really struggling to come up with a policy that won’t please everyone. We all have to adapt to this

I must point out that we are still very active and our KPIs exceeded the ones requested to be Tier E, see the April report: [REPORT]: NEAR Colombia April 2024

In one month we are one of the most outstanding crypto communities in the country, and with only half of the budget for one month that corresponds to April. Now in January, February and March we did community work without any economic support and there are more than 130 active wallets + those that have been opened in this month that we are already more than 15 surpassing this KPI. We did an in-person event, there was good attendance and this month 14 members have been added. On twitter we have almost 1K impressions and I have a MeetUp with the off-chain community on Wednesday with approximately 20 people who will open new wallets. So we are getting better and better every week.

I understand that there is a change in NDC for the month of June but our community is very important for NEAR, as well as for the country, we are projecting to be the 2nd or 3rd most important blockchain community in the country.

Hi team, thank you for your offer for June, unfortunately I can’t support you this month, as other consuls have said before, June is the last month for NDC and we can only continue to work with the most effective communities for now.
