Description:

NDC Community DAO as a workgroup is organized to create a Community Support Service to projects and Nodes for the ecosystem. Where any MOD or Community Manager can join from various chains or within the ecosystem, to become a member, contribute and work their way up to be considered by NDC projects to render Mod services to GDAO’s

As Grassroots DAOs play a pivotal role in driving innovation and community engagement within the Near ecosystem, the NDC Community DAO recognizes the importance of providing specialized support and moderation services to empower Grassroots DAOs in their endeavors.

The scope of work for the NDC Community DAO moderation team includes:

  1. Monitoring community discussions, proposals, and interactions within Grassroots DAO platforms.
  2. Providing guidance and support to community members on governance processes, proposal submissions, and community engagement strategies.
  3. Facilitating constructive dialogue and resolution of disputes or conflicts among community members in a fair and impartial manner.
  4. Collaborating with Grassroots DAO leaders and administrators to address emerging issues, implement best practices, and enhance community cohesion.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages active participation, diverse perspectives, and constructive feedback.

  4. Stay informed about emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities within Grassroots DAOs and adapt moderation strategies accordingly to meet evolving community needs.

What Our NDC Community DAO Offers :

Our NDC Community DAO offers comprehensive moderation services to all Grassroots DAOs within the Near and HOM scope. By leveraging the expertise and resources of the Near Digital Collective (NDC) Community DAO, we aim to streamline moderation processes, enhance coordination among Grassroots DAOs, and ensure professional and high-quality moderation standards across the board.

What Problem We Are Solving :

  1. Fragmented Moderation Efforts: Currently, Grassroots DAOs within the NEAR and HOM scope may face challenges in coordinating moderation efforts effectively, leading to fragmentation and inconsistencies in moderation standards.

  2. Resource Allocation: Grassroots DAOs may need to allocate significant resources to hire and manage moderators independently, which can be costly and inefficient.

  3. Lack of Coordination: Without a centralized moderation framework, Grassroots DAOs may struggle to establish cohesive strategies and standards for moderation, hindering collaboration and growth within the ecosystem.

Highly recommended.
This would help in Conveniently receiving new members and providing the right support and guidance for New members.
Especially when they’re big event like ETHDenver we definitely should be expecting more members onboard through this event.

I also think we can increase our scope to help not just NDC Community for Moderation but also NEAR Related Community like I am currently helping “Here Wallet team” in their community to support and provide guides for Community due to their newly launched mining program to claim $HOT they’ve been a need for moderation and I’m always willing to support to provided the best reception and support.

Glad to be part of this Initiative

I see a budget with monthly layout, but no KPIs or reasons for those numbers?

I am not sure how those numbers were decided or why they are increasing month after month. Please add more detail to this section of the proposal.

Thank you for the updates, although I’m still not seeing exactly how KPIs will be assessed. How is the work done going to be assessed as effective or efficient?

Is there a feedback form planned for community members to leave their feedback on the mods?

Generally, making sure community chats gave efficient moderation is important, it seems like some key areas might not be covered here. Like training mods and dispute resolution between mods.

Hi @chloe good to text you again you can find how our budget are being handled and KPIs to achieve on the “Smart Objectives”
We plan to get community feedback during our community calls and also form would be created once a Month to get feedback from the community about Mods.
