Objectives for June: Music Composition and Philosophy
Franki Raden was born with the name R. Franki S. Notosudirdjo in Jakarta on January 4, 1953. Completed his education in the Department of Music at the Jakarta Arts Institute in 1974, then in 1976 he also studied for one year at the Driyarkara College of Philosophy. Franki Raden won the Citra Trophy as the Best Musical Illustration at the 1979 Indonesian Film Festival (FFI) for his November 1828 film. In fact, this is his third film, after Bulu Bulu Cendrawasih and the documentary Akupun Bisa. Then after he began to be nominated frequently through several films, among others, Rembulan dan Matahari at FFI 1980, Roro Mendut, Titian Serambut Diilang Tujuh, and Kembang Kertas at FFI 1985 and Kejarlah Daku Kau Kutkap at FFI 1986. After receiving the Citra Award again In the 1986 film Nagabonar at FFI 1987, Franki took a break from the hustle and bustle of the film industry, traveling to the United States to gain knowledge and enhance his knowledge, especially in the field of music. Apart from composing, teaching, and giving lectures, he also speaks at a number of seminars and writes in several mass media.
In 2010 he founded INDONESIAN NATIONAL ORCHESTRA (INO) consisting of 35 indigenous Instruments from across Indonesia.
