During the month of April the membership in our Telegram group has increased to 81 people! Our second gallery opening both in CryptoVoxels and on NearHub was a success and we had a DJ at the opening which streamed in both of the above spaces. A few pieces have already been sold at our Mintbase Store. The winning entries were selected, but because we had a tie for 2nd place between 3 people we decided to combine 2nd and 3rd prize and split it equally between 3 people. All prizes have been distributed. We think the formula of distributing prizes was successful in drawing people to our DAO and intend to repeat it in our up and coming projects.
We have extended the submission deadline for our 3rd project to May 13th, with the show happening on May 30th. So for this month we will once again ask for funding to hire a DJ for the opening, as well as rental and installation fees.
We are happy to say that we have applied to and received funding from the Marketing DAO for May.
For May, along with minting pieces, setting up a Paras account and having our 3rd show in the metaverse, we are ramping up our attempts to get the word out about our DAO. We are focusing more on artwork for IG stories and tweets on Twitter. We have already upped the budget in Marketing to get more of a social media presence. We are also creating some templates for our marketing person to use.
We are also planning on having some workshops to get the community more involved. For May, we are having 3 AMA workshops with featured artists in our DAO, which we will either host on Telegram or on Twitter.
Because our next show is right at the end of the month, we will be proposing our next themed show in June. And since we have a more open budget, we are asking for 4 months in advance gallery rental fees in CV.
Clarification on DAO facilitation - For us, DAO Facilitation involves all the miscellaneous activities related to the DAO’s management, i.e. councils onboarding, budget writing, report writing, projects/bounties creation, Telegram group moderation, our Mintbase Store updating, events organization, jury work for bounties, decision-making from Astro, etc. Normally, DAOs would dedicate 30% of their monthly funds to such activities.
