At INA DAO we want are members to learn and be educated about both the Metaverse and Web3.
This is the first month for these workshops and hopefully, we can continue to create more workshops as we go along.
An outline has also been created here, but I will paste everything on this proposal as well:
We are proposing 2 workshops over the month of June
- How to Voxel presented by Gemini Rising
- How to NearHub presented by Dean
Both of these courses will be held on INA DAO’s YouTube account and will be recorded and available to share.
JUSTIFICATION:
During our latest gallery opening for “We Are Super Heroes”, we realized how few people know how to navigate or get involved with Voxels (Cryptovoxels). Most people remain anonymous and have no idea about the Metamask wallet required to get an account and name on Voxels.
OUTLINE:
The course will last 1-2 hours. It will introduce people to the concept behind Voxels, how to get a Metamask wallet, how to choose your Voxel name, the principles behind creating wearables and building, how to traverse the Voxels metaverse, plus the benefits of becoming active in such a space.
Using our YouTube channel, I will be screen sharing the Voxels space and go over each aspect step by step. This will be recorded for the benefit of both present and future members. For the wearables aspect, I will be creating a INA DAO t-shirt, that will be gifted to our members, which will also illustrate how to do that step.
I personally have already given a very productive course for Goa DAO on Voxel wearables, as well as a similar live workshop for Arroz Studios last August. Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties the course for Goa, done over Zoom, was not recorded.
The same process will be implemented using NearHub - how navigate and work in the NearHub space. This will be recorded and saved onto our YouTube page as well.
STEP BY STEP:
- Introduction and background of presenter.
- Tell participants that they will be actively participating while the presentation is happening.
- Share screen and show how to get a Metamask wallet. We will explain that participants don’t need to deposit ETH into the wallet.
- Share screen of Voxels. Here participants will be shown how to log onto Voxels with their Metamask wallet and how to create a Voxel name.
- Still in Voxels, users will be shown the basics of navigation throughout that metaverse. Participants will do this along with the instructor.
- Participants will be given a quick overview of building in Voxels using the Sandbox section, so people can practice their building skills. Again, participants will be creating along with the instructor.
- All participants will be given an INA DAO t-shirt created by me and be shown how to dress their avatar.
- Open the floor for questions and comments.
The same format as above, will be used by the NearHub presenter.
METRICS FOR SUCCESS:
As these 2 presentations will be going on our YouTube page, they will be available for anyone. As well they will now be linked to the Near Certified Creatives and our future website. We hope that anyone who is interested in building a presence in Web3 will find these courses helpful. We feel the best hope of getting viewers’ eyes on these presentations will be through SM promotion as well as promotion from all members in the NEAR ecosphere. If and when we see the viewership numbers go up to a reasonable amount we will go on to make more presentations with video documentation. Right now we think it is reasonable that the minimum number of viewers of these presentations be the number of members in our Telegram group, which is 99. Of course we hope that number goes higher as it will affect our DAO membership.
