[Proposal] KalakendraDAO to attend India's First International NFT Conference

Hi all,

We want to represent KalakendraDAO on NFTKochi scheduled on 18th December 2021 at the coastal city of Kochi, Kerala, India.

About NFTKochi:

NFTKochi(https://nftkochi.com/) is the first International Conference hosted in India dedicated to NFTs. NFT Kochi brings together all the NFT pioneers like Kunal Kapoor (https://twitter.com/kapoorkkunal), a famous Bollywood Actor, Producer, Writer, Entrepreneur and an NFT enthusiast. Among the speakers panel are also people from Polkadex, Wazirx(one of the leading crypto exchanges in India), other famous artists, collectors and technocrats from all spheres.

Why KalakendraDAO would like to participate in NFTKochi:

NFTKochi is bringing together artists, art enthusiasts, collectors, meta sapiens, industry leaders, visionaries, technocrats, developers, celebrities, and everyone who loves the world of Non-Fungible Tokens in one single roof. Hence this provides us with a perfect opportunity to network with all the NFT pioneers in India and helps fastrack KalakendraDAO’s vision to onboard more prominent Indian artists into our NEAR Ecosystem. So we would like to request funding to participate in this event and represent KalakendraDAO and NEAR Protocol.

There is an event sponsorship option available that will help NEAR Protocol get more visibility, and we have sent an inquiry for the same and have yet to hear from them. As all the NFT pioneers, enthusiasts & artists from India are gathered in a single place, we believe it would be the best place to create awareness about the NEAR Protocol.

Total Requested Funding Amount: 75.45N(CMC NEAR price 8.35 - 30.11.2021, 12.58 AM)

Hi @gurubaran,

Interesting to see this. Are you guys in touch with NFT Kochi team? I see that someone from NFT Malayali community is speaking at the event. I know that @naveen_in is in touch with them. Perhaps there’s something that we can do to improve our presence at the event.

I personally also would like to see a bit more details on the goals & outcome from attending this event apart from just sitting for the sessions? What specifically are we planning to do there that gets more artists, creators etc. onboard, apart from just awareness? How are we measuring the impact?

Apart from this, I leave it to the Creatives DAO members to review.

Unfortunately I can’t make it this time around. But hopefully we’ll have many more of these in the future where we can gather :slight_smile:

hey everyone!

Well, shreyas already raised a few points, but in general, I would just suggest that you include this proposal in the December budget for KalakendraDAO. Not saying it would be approved, but just that those are the guidelines of the Creatives DAO for proposals, which, with rare exceptions (can’t remember even 1 example in the last few months), demand a monthly request+ a monthly report. December begins tomorrow, so it should be reasonable and easy to do so.

This is the first time NFT Malyali is doing such an event in collab with NFT Kochi and Daze India.
The event is going to be a good center of attraction for the NFT communities of INDIA.

Following the announcement shared by their Twitter channel handle the schedule updates are still pending to be shared publicly.

Right now, I would suggest to wait for the detailed event schedule.
