My weekly report as moderator @mukuls9971

Hello my NEARmates

Hoping you all are doing great!

Starting with a brief introduction, l am Mukul Singla from India & got an opportunity to work full time with the NEAR community as a NEAR moderator. My daily shifts start from 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM ( 8:00 AM UTC to 3:00 PM UTC) mostly on Reddit followed by Discord & telegram. Besides resolving regular queries & interacting with members on all the channels, I want to focus on making our NEAR community user-friendly with a self-sustaining focus.

Daily Handling:-

  • Always tried to provide a homely atmosphere to old & new members of the community on all the channels by welcoming/interacting with them.
  • Adding flairs, upvoting & approving Reddit posts on time. (Here, my working shift time doesn’t matter as I used to do it the whole day
  • Preparing daily polls questions list to keep the community engaged. ( Implementing from 2nd week of December starting with Reddit).
  • Guiding users to connect to specific channels & to avoid price-related discussions on main channels. Reporting fake groups/scammers.

Regular Queries:-

  • Suspended Binance wallet services. Highlighted this issue with @jcatnear, Stan, @KriptoRaptor & other moderators to find out quick resolutions.
  • Error loading wallet on browsers like Brave, Firefox, etc. solved by using Opera Browser & sometimes clearing Cache.

Suggestions:-

  1. Daily polls/objective questions updates especially on the Reddit platform followed by advertising/marketing on Discord & telegram ( as what I observe people are not so active/aware with the NEAR community on Reddit)
  2. Providing a Badge/appreciation tag to most active community members.
  3. Highlighting on the website to secure/store passphrase. (Many people lost their tokens these days.)
  4. There must be a notification section on near channels for any type of suspensions by other blockchains, updates regarding NEAR workings, etc for easy query handling.

Thanks
