It has been a great start of 2022 for Near Protocol and the NFT market on Near. There are many interests and attention to Near NFT space from other chains, and the transaction volume is one of the highest so far (based on Paras.id transaction records).
In this thread, I want to suggest a proposal for Near and Paras in Indonesia. As we all know, Indonesia is a big market and currently the NFT space is getting big in here (i.e Ethereum NFT and Solana NFT- Solana has entered the Indonesian market and gained exposure from one of the big event sponsored by TOP4 bank in Indonesia). But all of them are currently struggling to grow since there is no dedicated team in Indonesia that build the things for them.
On the other side, Paras team is from Indonesia and it has become one of the leading NFT marketplace on Near (although it is new).
I want to suggest for Paras to join the Indonesian Blockchain Association (https://asosiasiblockchain.co.id/). It is the biggest blockchain Association in Indonesia (proven by the track record, and some of the members are Upbit Indonesia, Indodax - the leading exchange, etc) and also supported by Indonesian Chamber of Commerce. By joining the association, Paras will become the first NFT marketplace that joined and will get more connections to government (since in Indonesia, there are currently many things going on for blockchain and NFTs).
Near itself will gain a big exposure, because the leading NFT marketplace become the Indonesian association member and will open many new opportunities for other things (lets say, new developments, etc).
It can attract more developers to build on Near, and perhaps Near can arrange some event like Binance Academy did to Indonesian university back in 2019 (which they harvested the result in 2020-2021 from that events). As an idea, an event called uNEARversity as educational event to gather new developers from universities etc. There are more wild ideas coming from one stepping stone.
Worth to mention that It also can open opportunity for Near to be close to government as well.
There are some NEAR projects in Indonesia, such as Debio network, Myriad, Reality Chain, and there will be more if we get the momentum.
Perhaps, Paras can do this or get some grants / support from Near to start this and grow in Indonesia.
