Immersion Experience As Near Protocol Community Moderator

Warm Greetings to everyone in Near Community.
It’s been a great privilege this past one week to be working at Near Protocol as a Community Moderator.

My previous experiences working in crypto communities in various roles such as moderator, content creator, Ambassador has really been a plus for me in this 1 week immersion process.
And this past one week, I’ve felt a great responsibility by helping out members is various ways that they might need them, FAQs, interacting with the community to make it lively. And I’m always excited to get the positive feedback from the community members after a solution has been provided to the issues that might come up. It’s been great.

I started my Immersion Program on the 4th Of November, 2021. And as earlier stated above, I was determined to help out people of the community in whichever issues they might face, and also being professional about it and when they give the feedback that says how much they’re excited and appreciate the solution I gave them, it makes me pro active and I’m alway available most times of the day.

Moving forward, here are the few tips I utilized and I believed really helped me during the Immersion period.

  • My activity on Discord has been very high regarding helping the community members with their issues, slightly higher than any other Mod I’d guess. Handling a lot of queries in the process.

  • Community Interaction on Telegram with other members and mods about issues arising and also chat on topics in the Near Ecosystem.

  • Ban and Report Scammers on the Discord servers. Banned a few scammers myself after getting reports of scam from Community members.

  • Upvoting promotive Reddit contents and also reporting offensive posts on Reddit.

  • Redirected users that required technical solutions that will only be solved by the developers to the developer support server on Discord.

  • I made that awareness known to the community about Mods never sending them a message first, if they get a message first from a User claiming to be a Near Mod, he’s probably a scammer and should be reported.

  • Communicated Any upcoming events to the community for more awareness.

Also, promoted Near within my Campus community and more of my Cliques now know about Near and the opportunities, Technology that’s on the Near Ecosystem.

Finally, I’ll like to thank @Benz_Near for personally giving me more information about any issue I have, I really appreciate it.
Also, I appreciate @jcatnear for this wonderful opportunity given to me, it’s a great pleasure.

I really look forward to contribute better in the Near Community.

Ayo Emmanuel.
