Friday Reflections, Friday April 7

Hello everyone, it’s Friday, which means it’s time for another reflection on the week from the marketing and comms team at the NDC / GWG.

As with the new format, I’ll be sharing what’s coming down the pipe for the marketing and communication team over the week.

Content

We’ve been heads down producing content for the NDC this week. Up on Medium we have been exploring the Transparency Commission and its role in helping bring the NDC to life and hold it accountable.

Next in line is how to start a working group, which will be published next week.

Marketing Messaging

One of the biggest challenges has been to create a coherent voice for the NDC going forward. One of the key ways of doing that is to build a messaging framework that will allow us to tailor our messaging to relevant audiences in and around the NDC.

A first draft of this can be found here.

Working Group Blueprint

The MarComm team has been working on creating a blueprint that will allow any group of people to form their own working group.

The purpose of the blueprint is to ensure working groups are transparent and have a clear direction and charter for what they’d like to achieve. You can find a draft of this here.

Consensus Strategy

We’re looking to create a more formal events strategy to help raise awareness of the NDC IRL. The next big event on the calendar will be Consensus, which will take place in Austin on April 26-28.

You can see an overview of what we’d like to achieve here.

If you’d like to take part in events discussions, please do join the community hub, we’re always looking for contributions!

Elections Strategy

We’re getting our ducks in a row for how to raise awareness of the forthcoming elections. We’ve put together a working document for the Election Strategy, which you can find here.
