Happy Monday!! @weekly-updates
What a pleasure to start this week with our Open Web Community Hack. I am thrilled to get to know the participants and see their excitement to learn more about social tokens, DAOs and NFTs.
We continue our 2-week sprint, we had a super cool sprint planning last week with the marketing team and this week will be our MarCom DemoDay.
In the meantime, our focus in on the main objectives:
- Transform ourselves: Progress on the onboarding experience.
- Hack awareness: Review options to improve the experience on all our community touch points (TG, Discourse and Discord)
- Boost Communities: Funding Proposal Process review and streamlining
The icing the cake is the review of OKRs as we are half way into our Q2…
My dream is that one day we would have a Community OS Dashboard… 
… my nerd side always comes out when I think of dashboards

- Japan event planning and guild support: Connected with a couple of members from the community to speak about this event. Tokyo blockchain academy and more.
- India covid relief DAO: Funds transferred using DAO- Ref finance to DAI.
- OWC interviews: 3 interviews done
- Africa blockchain initiative proposal meeting: Proposal received
- India guild monthly call: Discussed India DAO formation and accelerator support
- Local nodes work
- 4NTS sync- new funding buckets, updates and sync
- Sync with Louis from Oct Network to build community

- Ensure all Bounty DAO’s for hackathon were funded for start of event
- Spoke with @starpause & @jlwaugh in Open Web Conf

This week:
- work with @zavodil to:
- get a guide out for The Near Telegram Bot (Serves as SputnikDAO UI)
- Create a guide for using voting functions
- Create guide for using tip bot
- Set up Telegram group notifications in Bounty DAO channels similar to Createbase DAO Channel
- get a guide out for The Near Telegram Bot (Serves as SputnikDAO UI)
- Continue to monitor Forums to ensure hackathon participants are able to submit their tasks and earn from sputnikDAO payout proposals.
- Onbaord @mecsbecs into the @Community-Squad
- Get ready for the next Hackathon workshop: Presentation Workshop - Createbase with (hopefully) @amgando or @mattlockyer leading the session → @crasskitty took over the session and absolutely killed it! Will have the recording up soon.

Today is my first official day as the new Community OS Specialist @ NEAR so my update will be very short.
Last week:
- Began onboarding onto the Community Squad (and almost moderated a Open Web Summit event )
This week:

Have initial 1:1 chats with each of the Community Squad members to learn more about the projects they’re currently undertaking, how we can work together, and to learn more about the world of NEAR (@shreyas @starpause @jlwaugh @3UN1C3)

- helped coordinate Open Web Community Summit + Hackathon
- launched “Governance Challenge” with Metagov DAO
- planned team working session to simplify guild funding
- connected with new contributors in 1-1 Q&A sessions
- introduced CollabLand bot in the NEAR Discord
Plan for this week:
- conduct hackathon activities via Twitter, Discord, and the forum
- publish forum post about guild funding buckets / categories
- meet potential contributors and hopefully answer questions
- participate in livestream about governance, organized by 4NTS Guild
- review Community Fund processes to improve systems for accountability
- create documentation for Sputnik DAO
