Two days workshops at Blockcain Academy Mexico.
For online attendees we are going to host a online session at NERAHUB.

[PROPOSAL] Requesting support for our Series of Bancambios Workshops about BOS + Horizon Near.Social + NDC Workshop in Mexico City, to expand NEAR awareness and adoption in Spanish.

Requesting Marketing Support:
We want to run some ads for our Eventbrite. Create Designs for Flyers/banners to circulate on Telegram, Discord, Twitter, Whatsapp and Telegram Groups.

After the event we could launch some articles, publications, blogs, NEARWEEK.

Things we are asking for support:

• Impact and value from this proposal </> NEAR present in Mexico City where 6 “rust-chains” are gaining territory rapidly in the Tech community, Web3 Community. NEAR cannot be left behind.

-Latinamerican communities will know about BOS, Horizon, NDC, near.social, NearHub along all their community. - We will do live-session using NearHub to host people from other countries in LatAm.

-Include spanish-speaking audience to join and participate at NEAR Ecosystem.

Polkadot, Vara Network, and other “rust” blockchains are gaining ground in Mexico and fast. they are doing a good job with the ambassador, and mayor representation in most events. While trying to onboard Web 2.0 communities, their efforts are just attracting the same small web 3.0 communities. there’s a huge potential in Mexico for Near to grow and place itself with innovative proposals. Nice proposal from Bancambios to bring Near ecosystem closer to mexican “normies”.

Wen can we get this proposal accepted or rejected? We have published our event en Eventbrite, registrations are active.

Proximity has sent us a great presentation on BOS and we have translated into Spanish.

As well, NEAR Foundation has sent us a great presentation about Horizon we are translating.

This is a great moment to show NEAR innovation to the booming Web3 Community in Mexico City.

During both events, the first day is to onboard + gain more users interacting with near.social + NDC. To join and become part of the community and submit Digital Content for NP.

The second event is to learn and explore BOS by a certified NEAR instructor, for the Devs to understand Decentralized Front-Ends. On September we have the event Build your 1st Decentralized Front-End with BOS.

After BOS, during the second days of the Workshops. We will explain and go step by step on how to build a profile on Horizon and how Teams or Web3 Builders can submit their project to Horizon.

Today Saturday 12, 2023 - We have the “after workshop party” and we will host another activation. FYI

We are planning a continuation event on September 6 and 7 - to keep the attendees learning BOS and submitting projects to Horizon.

Also another “road to Ethereum Mexico” event on October 4 & 5

And 1 main Side-Event during Ethereum Mexico, this Side-event will be supported by NF.

This proposal can go to these next events on September and October.

It would be nice to have your support for the Events on the 6-7 of September and October 4 and 5, 2023.

HI @Bancambios thanks for the proposal. First, here’s an update on the current funding situation for August (we can only fund for one month at a time currently):

Here’s the reality:

• We have $203K+ in funding requests coming from the community for August
• We have ~$46K to deploy
• We cannot fund everyone
• The funding we can allocate is limited and needs to go to the ecosystem KPIs – which are NDC election and BOS content

I am very much in support of expanding NEAR awareness and growth into Mexico and Spanish speaking regions in general. That said, I have a few concerns about your proposal:

• It isn’t clear who will receive the swag – is it a giveaway at a booth? Curious why you’re requesting 20 items specifically?
• I think MDAO would be more likely to support content creation/translation around BOS education vs. swag/product because that is more in line with our KPIs.
• It looks like you’re requesting $300 for each organizer/moderator. Who is involved? Who are the two people doing this work and what work are you doing?
• We can only fund for one month at the moment – we are encouraging all applicants to help support NDC election through voting and participation as the success of the election is crucial to the future of Grassroots DAO funding after September.

If you’re not funded in August due to above reality, I encourage you to revise the proposal and resubmit for future events/content/education initiatives. Thanks!

hi @so608 that is exactly what we did on the last Workshops. We onboarded we users to Web3 and new web3-native users into NDC + BOS + Horizon.

R: The swag is for the peeps who joined our Workshops, meetup party and active share pictures and content of our event.

I think swag is also Marketing, not sure if you read the article of the Web3 in Mexico City and you checked that other blockchains and gaining Users & Devs rapidly through Workshops, Hackathons, Parties and Swag. - So we peeps to also have amazing swag from Near.

Oscar, Gerardo and Soxa. Are the ones most actively helping in the coordination of there initiatives.

Sure, we can invite all our new NDC members to participate on the NDC election, this way they can learn more about it. And keep the engagement.

All the other chains doing initiatives in Mexico City are gaining territory. We don’t want the gap to keep growing.

By the way the date for Ethereum Mexico has been releases; October 21, 2023. So this will help us to be part of the “road to Eth Mexico” calendar of events.
